lol. I'm listening to John Cena's album and its not that bad. I'll probably get sick of it after a few listens but it's worth a listen just to hear a pro wrestling music release that's okay. It's not your typical pro wrestling cd where it's plain embarassing (Macho Man). Whoever did the beats did a great job.
Recommended is the Kanye West-esque "Right Now."
Did John Cena play around with rapping before WWE gave him this persona? If he didn't, Cena sure learned fast.
He is pretty good. and the A-team video was the shiznit.
I know it's like the hip-smark thing to say he's a mediocre champion, he's transitional, he's not on the level of someone like the rock or stone cold, ect.
but i really like Cena. i think he's got decent ability in the ring and very good on the mic too. i think he could go on to be one of the greats. maybe i'm just too overjoyed they finally got the belt off bradshaw.

His finisher is a glorified fireman's carry. If anyone has a lamer finisher than that I'd like to know about it. At least do the airplane spin or something. A close second would be the Garvin stomp but his finisher just plain sucks. Makes the rest of his match retroactively much worse that it already was.
i believe it's a glorified death valley driver, actually. :)
i maintain the lamest finnisher is the worm. hey that would be a good thread, what's the best finnishing manuever?
i can't pick just one:
Total Elimination
The Roaring Elbow
Play of the Day
Triple Drop Moonsault
Styles Clash
Perfect- Plex
Canadian Crusher
Razzle Dazzle
DDT
win a jif of Shogun stomping someone's head if you can name where each came from...

Nah f2c, it's a glorified fireman's carry. If it was a death valley driver, then Cena would drop to the ground as well. As it stands now, all he does is a fireman's carry because he just flips the guy off of his shoulders.
I believe I heard somewhere that John Cena was rapping on a bus during a WWE tour and Stephanie heard him and asked him to do a freestyle, and that's what started his gimmick. He actually did rap before WWE IIRC.

The worm is a lame finisher but it looks a whole lot better than a fireman's carry, plus doing the worm is not easy. At least not doing it well.
The finsher by Petey Williams in TNA is one of the best I've seen. The first time I saw it I did a double take. I thought it was called the Canadian Destroyer though. Maybe that's another finisher I haven't heard of.

Man, how could you have Total Elimination in there? Though most of the time it looked horrible, when done right, with a guy who can take a really nice bump, Total Elimination was friggin great.
no ctht, those are the best i said. TE was great.
the worm was the only one i said was lame.
guy, i've heard the broadcast team call it both, but yea, whatever you call it Petey Williams move is sick! if i was a worker i don't know if i'd take it out of fear of being paralyzed.

Its ashame too, because when Cena was Prototype, he was great. He can work, but WWE just wants him to go with the thug like, kick/punch style. What a waste.

the fu is the lamest finisher today. wwe might as well have big show use a body slam for a finisher, and claim it's the most devastating thing today! because of the height he slams people from.

Pretty much. But look at Hogan. Hes the most popular and famous wrestler ever, and his finisher was a damn leg drop. LOL. Not to mention his in ring skills were very limited. Its all about gimmicks in WWF/WWE.
Like I said though, atleast we know Cena can work if he really wants to. Unfortunately, hes stuck with a lame finisher, and WWE wants him to stick with his thug kick/punch style.
Notice how Lesnars style changed between OVW and WWE too. He worked alot more agile, and was kown for doing shooting star presses. WWE made him slow it down, and take more of a monster, power style to his game. The reason he botched the SSP at Mania was one, he was too far from Angle. And two, you can see his foot slip alittle when he jumped. And three, he was already really blown up from going so long with Angle in that match.
Eitherway, WWE likes to ruin styles. They make all the Cruiserweights slow down, so they dont get hurt. While it might be safer, its much less entertaining, and it keeps the Cruiserweights from getting over like they did in WCW.
But, we can whine all we want about how poorly WWE uses people, but theres nothing we can do. They dont listen to the fans. LOL.

yeah the leg drop was lame. but it was a 2 part finisher after the big boot, and at least the person receiving it could sell the move making it look devastating.
as for cena, it wouldnt look gay if he'd actually do a complete spicolli driver.
yeah i've seen clips of lesnar doing alot more **** in ovw. i knew he was gonna use the move against angle.
working slow was an issue for cripple h.

LMFAO, I cant stop laughing. When Vince came out on Monday Night, and went stomping up the steps, I was waiting for him to grab his leg in agony and fall right off the apron.
And whenever I see him climb in the ring, I wait for him to fall over.
I cant imagine what the Holidays must be like at the McMahon home. Having one person going into a roid rage is bad enough much less a whole clan of juicers going into rages.

I guess he figures if he keeps changing his look slightly, the fans wont realize its the same guy WWE constantly shoves down our throats.
