I found this hilarious. Its meant to be a joke about how boring the Lindland/Doerksen fight was at UFC 54.

LAS VEGAS, NV — The third judge in the Matt Lindland vs. Joe Doerksen fight, upon being asked his pick, responded with “Huh?” after being shaken awake, sources reported. Cecil Peoples, who has been judging UFC events for seven years, apparently fell asleep between rounds two and three at Saturday night’s UFC 54 event. “I’m sorry, you’ll have to excuse me,” Peoples replied upon getting his bearings. “Lindland and Doerksen you say? Um, let me look at my card here. Hold on one second. OK. Uh huh. OK, Lindland. Lindland won.” Peoples allegedly asked for a double-shot mocha afterwards.

Was I dreaming or was I on a thread not long ago where there was several boasts made about how MMA is far more exciting than boxing? Someone went as far to say that "the average MMA card is 10x more exciting than the average boxing card" :p . Doesn't sound like too many people were overly thrilled with this past UFC. :p

MMA is afar more exciting that boxing. The fact that Lindland wins matches within the rules and gets ripped by the fans for being boring is a testament to what the fans expect. THey expect a certain level of excitement and action because that it what they are used to. Picking out the most boring fighter in the history of MMA, one of the 3-5 fighters that is criticized for his style, does not in any way help your agrument that boxing is on the same level of action and excitement as MMA.

I am not sure how long you have been here, but some people here are never thrilled with anything the UFC does, no matter what happens....This is no surprise.....

And I am posting lightheartedly here as I realize you were in good spirits about boxing and I was not involved in the other thread.....but boxing sucks...

all i have to say is when i heard that a judge fall asleep in a lindland fight i just automaticly believe i don't even have to think about it. that may be one of the reasons he is getting released from the ufc.

As for you owning anyone, you guys are both being childish. You ignore him, but everytime he comments on anything you comment back about how he is on ignore. We all have read this 86 times now in 86 threads. If you respond to every single thing he says, you are not ignoring him. As far as the Pride bias goes, the difference is that there are valid REASONS given to why Pride is the superior organization. Most of the Pride fans in here used to be big UFC fans as well until they went to crap.

I realize how the ignore function works. My point is that everytime he posts something, you respond to it even though you cannot read it. You acknowledge his post. This is not ignoring anything, it is a childish way to keep bickering. It is the internet equivalent of covering your ears and going lalalalalalalalal while someone talks. As for the joke, I got it fomr the start, but it was not hard to believe. After all, wasn't this the guy that stopped the Sell/Quarry fight early. Maybe he dosed off and was so startled when he woke up that he panicked and stopped the fight....
