Here is something interesting for those who don't know much about Fedor's background. Fedor wasn't just a "good" Judoka, he was internationally ranked.

Fedor is a 2-time World Cup Bronze Medalist, the 1997 Russian National Judo champion, and was once ranked #3 in all of Russia.

Some said that Fedor made the switch to sambo after figuring out he wasn't able to make Russian Olympic team. Whatever his reasons, he is a world class judoka, not up to the level of Nastula but very good.

Judo is ubiquitous like boxing in MMA training. Don Frye was also a legitimate 2nd(or 3rd) deg bb in judo.

same here. I think Judo is clearly the most underrated discipline in the sport.
