I just wanted to post this thread and see what match-ups people want to see. I myself am hoping for the Liddell/Silva Match, but put whatever match-ups you want in here whether they be for an interesting match-up, or if you just want to watch someone else get pummeled (i.e. Franklin vs. Quarry ).

Skeletor vs. Rashad Evans, since Skeletor has the best take down defense and cardio of all the He-man characters I think it would be an interesting match. My prediction: Skeletor by armbar in round 2, and Rashad's record is no longer perfect.

I would like to see a UFC vs Pride supercard. Ideally it would be an annual event. I know it wont happen, but it would be cool. :)

1) Frank Shamrock vs. Sak vs. BJ Penn - round robin.
(Shamrock vs. Sak is about 5-6 years too late, but it'd still get my $$. I also have a weird interest in seeing how BJ stacks up against the aging "legends").
2) Wandy vs. Chuck (of course)
3) Heath Herring vs. Tim Sylvia
(what can I say, I like Heath but he doesn't stand a chance against the top Pride HW's. Let's see what he can do in the UFC)
4) edit - forgot Franklin vs. Dan Henderson

Bas vs Cro-Cop
Fedor vs Sergei
Kawajiri vs Gomi II
Franklin vs Hendo
Chuck vs Wandy
Chuck vs Tito II
Vera vs Overeem
Shogun vs Lil Nog II
Chuck vs Rampage II
That'll about do it for now. I could go on all day.

What no dream matches with Luke Cummo?? or Jason von Flue??
Personally i think I'd like to see a Franklin/ Sak fight. Right now there is nobody at that weight in the UFC that could beat Rich. I know everybodys talking up A. Silva, but he needs to do more than knock out a TUF fighter before he gets a shot. Maybe let him fight tanner or loiseau first.

This is sure to get howls of derision but as far as old scores I'd still like to see Ken Shamrock against Tank Abbott. I wouldn't want it at the top of a card or anything but it could be an entertaining (in a car crash sort of way) bout for the few minutes it lasts.
I'd also like to see Fedor fight a bear.

All of the previously mentioned fights would be incredible, but I didn't see Mirko vs. Chuck, I think it would be interesting. And I really want to see Penn and GSP fight again, I think BJ can do better than that. Fedor vs. the Incredible Hulk would be good as well :)

Actually, although perhaps not dream match material, I find both Cummo and von Flue very entertaining.

I am not saying they aren't entertaining fighters, they certainley are better than me, but I just can't think of them garnering a huge gate or big PPV money no matter who they fought. it was just some sarcasm.

I've always wanted to see Chuck/Wandy; hopefully, that comes to fruition. Other than that, I always thought a Kid/Gomi match would be awesome.

Put Kharitonov against anyone, and I will likely watch the match, but Kharitonov /CroCop would be particularily awesome.

I'd just like to see fighters not cut weight to shrivel down to make weight and instead fight at their walking around weight. This would give us plenty of new matchups. Judging just on their donut eating walking around weight, there isn't "that" much difference between Tito, Chuck, Arlovski, Silva, Fedor, even Franklin. Way too many heavyweights fight at Light heavy and use weight cutting to be huge Lt heavies--and right on down the weight classes. Maybe one day we need a superheavyweight class, but right now there aren't enough in each org to have fights.

But cutting weight IS a part of sports. It's done in wrestling and to a lesser degree it's done in boxing. The guys who do it, run the risk of weakening their body, particularly if they are cutting large amounts of weight.
The only way to get around it, would be to have the weigh-ins 30 mins prior to the fight. You wouldn't want to be cutting too much weight and fighting shortly thereafter.

As a Wandy fan I can't wait for his fights against Mirko and possibly Chuck, but I would also love to see him avenge his losses against Tito and Vitor.
Also Wandy vs. Fedor
Fedor vs. Crocop II
Royce vs. Sakuraba II
Shogun vs. Coleman II
Hughes vs. GSP II

I agree....cutting weight is part of the sport.....and it is a learned skill, just like the other skills guys display in the ring/octagon.
Fighters know this before a fight. There is a level playing field. Franklin's opponents know that he is going to be coming in at 210 come fight time. But as long as he makes 185, he can fight. Other fighters could put in the work necessary to carry 205 lbs of weight and then cut down...if they are physically unable to do so, they could carry 185lbs of weight and cut to 170lbs (Using UFC weights obviously) if they wish. It is all about hard work, skill, and dedication...
