UFC 75 from England will be shown on tape delay in North America so keep all discussion of the show in this thread in this spoiler forum. DO NOT post anything about the show in the main mma forum as unententional spoilers are easy to do.

The show airs in the U.S. on Saturday September 8th at 9 p.m. Eastern time on Spike tv.

I didn't see your post until right now. I could do a sum up of each fight if you would like.

From what I read and from the text my friend at the event sent me, it wasn't like a couple of lucky strikes or whatever. It was complete domination by Kongo. Not a slow fight, nothing. It was a "CroCop" style fight and Kongo straight up beat his ass. My friend says the first round was close (could go either way) but the next two were all Kongo.

After seeing Kongo impregnated my Marrero, I dunno. I think you have to say CroCop is overrated rather than dubbing Kongo the next big thing.

I'm almost afraid to read the Bisping PBP..

cameronb

Randy would destroy Kongo, he's not legit as an MMA fighter. Cro Cop just doesn't have the heart.

Next fight up Bisping/Hammil, whoopy.

Edit: The Anothny Torres fight is on now.

Yeah, the PBP i've been reading says Kongo was dominant the last 2 rounds. Crocop is definately finished for a while.

Nice to see CroCop tried some elbows though, atleast from what the pbp says.

LMAO Matt Hammil is coming out to "Born in the USA". He is getting boo'd like it's going out of style.

Bisping is coming out to The Clash "London Calling" (yeah i'm not just a hip hop fan) and the ovation is making my ears bleed.

Jay

I'm reading from sherdog so that might explain it :D

"The Croatian lands an elbow from half-guard and throws left hands to the body"

I have Bisping round 2 & 3. 29/28 for Bisping is how I have it.

Watching it on somebodys msn webcam but no sound. I miss Rogans big fat mouth.

Next up is the moment we have all been waiting for and I for the first time in a long time can't call a winner. I love both Hendo and Page and I just hope it's a classic.

Jay
09-08-2007, 04:08 PM
Yeah I thought I'd be right. That was uncomfortable to watch from a Brit point of view. Close hard fight.

Who the **** scored it 30/27? I wanna bitch smack that judge.

I had the same way and so did the judges. Hammil's stand up looked really good though.

Jay

Hammil's stand up has really improved. I could see him become a legit contender if he works a bit more on doing something with the takedowns.

EDIT: I've lost my feed now. He's d/ced from msn and he's afk. Noooo! lol

I'm going for Page.

I think it'll be a 1,2,3 for Kongo/Bisping/Page.

Jay
09-08-2007, 04:44 PM
I have my msn feed back and I call round 3 for Page.

EDIT: I dunno what the pbp has it because it's not loading in my browser.

Page wins.

I was right. It's a 1, 2, 3 for the training buddies.

Huge night for Rampage's camp with all three getting wins. Congrats to Page and now hopefully we will get to see Shogun/Page 2 next.

Jay

Bisping and Page had wars.

Judging from the PBP Kongo pretty much took CroCop with ease :/

Crocop is now 1/2 way through his very lucrative UFC contract going 1-2 and being nothing like the man who struck fear in the heart of Pride fighters and got ko after ko. Dana has to be furious at having paid out so much money only to have a key Pride fighter turn out to have the heart of Andrei Arlovski and completely fail at becoming a money draw and ruling over the heavyweigth division.

I suspect Dana is really asking himself....is Fedor going to pull this crap too? Take my millions and fight like a 2k/2k dark match rookie? Is Wanderlei going to come in and lose 5 in a row? Is Rua going to make Forrest Griffin look like a world beater by allowing Alfred E. Neumann to beat the snot out of him?

Its becoming apparent that Crocop the fighter died when Pride died. What about the other "faces" of Pride--will they rise like a Phoenix (Rampage) or show the casual beer drinking UFC fans that Pride was over rated? It makes my head hurt to consider.

Granted, I haven't yet seen the show to judge for myself but all reports are that Crocop blew it....again.

Does Dana next feed Crocop to Vera so Brandon can pad his resume with a big name or simply cut Crocop to save some big money? I know that sounds harsh....but, damn....what happened to the man who won the Pride GP? At this point, I have lost confidence that Crocop can beat UFC mid-carders, much less Randy, Nog,Timmah or AA.

Well Cbear I think sometimes fighters wether it be boxing or mma, they lose their desire to fight and it appears this may be the case with Crocop. Either that or he was grossly over-rated.

Cro Cop has a history of alternately sucking ass and being exciting. He has also lost numerous fights.

Fedor is always exciting and has never (legitimately) lost.

Big difference.

What excites me is that with Cro Cop being owned, I truly believe this will light a fire under Fedor's ass to come and challenge himself in the UFC.

BTW~ is anyone still excited for a Fedor/Cro Cop matchup? Does anyone truly believe Mirko could beat him?

Yeah in a bull**** 10 point must system fight. As a whole Bisping much more in that fight and I am glad he won the decision.

Kongo just looked too big for Cro Cop.

I thought Hamill had won. He looked much better than his previous fights. Still not all that good, but at least an improvement.

UFC 75 was live on a Swedish sports channel. For free. So for once I wasn't a day behind the rest of you. :)

I agree. Outside of the first round, Hamill did absolutely nothing. He landed no solid punches and had a few takedowns that amounted to no damage done. Bisping was landing good standup shots all fight and ended the third in a dominating fashion. I gave it to Bisping

CroCop...I'm speechless. Dana should cut him...let K-1 have him. Have looked like crap vs Eddie, got KO'd by GG, and a **** performance against Kongo. He's just padding his wallet now...time to move on. Sucks because CC is one of my more favored fighters

PS : enjoy my siggy while you can, cos I'm gonna have a real ****ed up one for 30 days :-D

I gained alot of respect for Hamill tonight, his striking was definetly improved in the first while he was fresh and he was nothing but a class act after the match.

Well done the London crowd giving him a big ovation afterwards as well

CroCop was crap tonight. Bisping DID NOT WIN and neither did Rampage. WTF was up with the judges tonight?
