Hey guys,
I'd really love to hear how many of you play MMAPlayground and what you like or don't like about it.
I tried signing up yesterday and found the whole thing really overwhelming with text and very confusing. I got an email today reminding me to put in my pics for UFN happening on Sept 20th (it was actually yesterday, of course) and thought that was kinda unprofessional. Some things look pretty cool on the site and I do like the idea of the game(s), but at same time I don't want to invest all this time trying to understand what the heck I have to do.
They seem to be a really popular website so there's got to be things people love about them (e.g., the leagues?).
ps - just to let you know where I'm coming from, I'm starting up a fantasy website myself with some friends

I've actually found it pretty easy. For most options it's a drop down menu. Picking the fights is pretty easy, and I really enjoy the new wager option.
If I had one complaint, I would say that it's a little confusing trying to find the previous events results. They show the top few people, but it's difficult to find your own previous results (I always manage to do it, it's just not the easiest navigation).
Also, it's probably a server issue, but it's darn near impossible to access the site after an event.

^^^I agree about the difficulty finding the past fights. It is easy to pick, but once the event airs, it seems non-existent on the site. Picking your fights is laid out very well however, with all fighters having a direct link to Sherdog coming in very handy.
The newly implemented wagering system is also fun and is a good way to gain (or in my case, lose) points.
As for your delayed email Marco, I'm not sure why you got it today, I got mine a couple days ago. Maybe it was a technical issue with you just signing up???
That reminds me, I gotta check out how last night affected my stats on your site. (I think I picked Leben)
I like the site. Picking fights and placing wagers is easy and well done. I agree with the others about the results being hard to find for yourself but that is probably my only gripe.
I also got the delayed email today with the wrong date but I also received one a few days ago.

Roundhouse, how long did it take you to get comfortable with how to play the game? Do you think it was very straightforward or did it take some time navigating around and reading before you really understood what to click / what to do?

I found the navigation really easy to use. It took little to no time to pick up, with the exception of the previously mentioned prior results.
I even use the site for mma news now because of how convenient it is.

It's very straightforward. It should be pretty easy for most.

I love using it to see upcoming fight cards. They have them all laid out the second they are announced.

cool, thanks for all the comments guys. It seems like they're doing a great job catering to the hardcore mma fan. I've got to give it another shot myself.
I just noticed the signature you guys have. That's pretty neat. I assume they are updated automatically through mmaplayground?
Do any of you guys pay for premium membership? Do you think it's worth it? Do you think the prizes are good?

They are updated automatically, which is pretty cool.
I personally don't pay for the premium membership. I find the regular free-bee sufficient.

Guys, to check your previous fight picks, go to "My Fantasy Picks" and then at the top it says "Click here" for previous picks. Select it there.
I think it's pretty easy to use, myself. Log in, go to My Fantasy Picks, select the fight winners, round, and method in the drop downs, and if you want make some wagers. Then scoot outta there :) Join our fight camp too. :-D

^^^you're right about that, but it used to be more difficult than that. I still think it should be on the main page. As soon as u sign in, you should see your results. That is obviously why you are coming to the site.
You can find a link to it under the Quick links on the left now. I just noticed it:
» My Fantasy Picks (3)
» My Fantasy Wagers (1)
» My Fight Companion - NEW
» My Fighter Rankings (7)
» My Private Mailbox (0)
» My Fight Camp
» My Game History
» Secondary League
