This is K-1 Level Kickboxing but for those interested, thought I'd pass along that the show is sometime Saturday morning (AM) for those that can find it on the interent.

The TBS Japan show starts at 8:45 PM Saturday night (which is sometime early AM US.)

Buakaw Por Pramuk vs Sato

Uh oh, it's Future Tribe Hayato. I can't remember if this is the fake Masato or if that is Tatsuji.

BruceLee

BruceLee

Somethings wrong with the guy who beat Tatsuji.

BruceLee
02-02-2008, 06:09 AM
They are looking at his hand or arm.

Looks like he loses by doctor stoppage even though he was pwaning Tatsuji before the injury.

Andy Ologun (Nigeria) vs blonde Japanese guy. in semi finals.

BruceLee
02-02-2008, 06:13 AM
1st round not much happening. Alot of teaps by Japanese blonde guy.

BruceLee
02-02-2008, 06:19 AM
2nd round. not much happening. More Muay Thai teaps and low kicks by Japanese Blonde guy and Ologun not doing much.

BruceLee
02-02-2008, 06:23 AM
end of round 3.

It looked to me like Ologun was outclassed. the low kicks were starting to hurt him. We'll see if the judges agree.

BruceLee
02-02-2008, 06:24 AM
UD for Japanese Blond Mauy Thai guy.

Ologun stoms out of the ring like a petulant school girl throwing a hissy fit.

Sato vs Buakaw Por Pramuk Revenge match next.

BruceLee
02-02-2008, 06:30 AM
End of round 1.

These guys don't like each other.

what's with the Mullet Buakaw?

BruceLee
02-02-2008, 06:31 AM
I guess that was round 3. K-1 sometimes cuts out rounds if they are boring on the 3 hour tape delayed TV broadcast.

going into extra rounds since it was a draw.

BruceLee
02-02-2008, 06:36 AM
Well that basically turned into a boxing match between two muay thai guys with Baukaw getting in 25 punches for every 1 of Sato's.

BruceLee
02-02-2008, 06:37 AM
Baukaw gets the split decision.

I dunno what that 1 judge was thinking.

16 year old Hiroya vs. Dutch teenager who look about 13.

Hiroya looks depressed.

BruceLee
02-02-2008, 06:43 AM
end of the 1st round.

Kind of boring and low level. But I guess what can you expect from 15 year olds.

BruceLee

Kido won? WTF...

Poor Tastsuji. :(

Oh, and Maeda (the guy who was beating HAYATO before doctor stoppage), broke his elbow. That's why they stopped it.

yeah tha'ts what it looked like. I think it was from blocking a middle kick or something. I don't think I've seen that before where the guy is destroying someone and then loses because his elbow falls off.

Where were you last night/this morning. I thought maybe you had driven down to Calgary from Edmonton. You are like the only other person here who watches Girls Mauy Thai.

Kido looked good. He was like a blond Japanese Buakaw.

Ironically Baukaw looked kind of bad in his decison victory. He's not keeping his guard up high but adopting more of a hands low boxer stance. I thought, he's gonna get rocked or KOed and sure enough Sato rocked him with a hook with 7 seconds left that put his legs on queer street.

Buakaw can't afford to do that agaisnt the elite fighters.

Some friends came back from various parts of the province so we all just went to the bar and watched the hockey game. Driving to Calgary is too sketchy right now because it's around -30 celsius and the roads are terrible. And it's warming up right now so that means there's a good chance for blizzards.

For some reason I thought you would go to HCF. I know it's like 3 hours but I thought the Calgary-Edmonton corridor was really close and had a Super highway or something.

Is there alot of snow on the ground?

Nah. HCF was too expensive for me. And I hate driving that route in the winter. It's 3-4 hours in the summer, but winter is a whole different story.
