If so, are the cheap seats worth it? Thanks in advance.

i went to ufc 58 in vegas. and yeah, the cheap seats are pretty decent. but i think you'll have a fun time if you go, regardless of your seats. mainly because if you attend the weigh-ins, you'll get to meet and greet with plenty of fighters. there i met tito, forrest, stout, hominick, yves, marquardt, lister, stevenson, buffer, herb dean, spencer fisher, neer, bang ludwig, mike swick, and others.

i actually saw jardine, florian, and tim sylvia there also, but didn't particularly want to meet any of them. although now i kinda wish i would've gotten a picture with florian.

bottom line, go to the free weigh-ins, sit in some cheap seats, drink some expensive beer, and you'll enjoy the hell out of yourself.

Yea...I've been to quite a few. The cheap seats are the same as anywhere else. You'll spend the time watching the big screens. The Vegas environment is what makes the event the best....get a room in the same hotel as the fight, party it up before hand, waltz down to the bar, have a few drinks with friends, head over to the fight after placing some bets if you haven't already done so, then after the fight, right back up to the room to change to head out for a night of partying. All very convenient. Sleep it off the next day at the pool. It can't be beat.

My experience with the UFC live in vegas was horrible. We were in good seats and i could only see what was going on when they were standing. Once a fight hits the ground you have to look for a big screen to the left or right, i had whiplash by the end. It seemed like they were averaging an hour between fights. You're surrounded by wannabe tough guys, most of them have no idea what there watching and are screaming for the two to "stop humping." Also you can say what you want to about goldie and Rogan but try watching a UFC with the sound muted that's what it's like live, you'll actually start to miss Rogan's exaggerations. Then when the last fight is over it's time for the stampede through the casino, good luck finding a table now.

You mean from this (http://www.mmafighting.net/forum/showthread.php?t=25402)thread? :-D

Oddly enough, we have done a UFC fight as part of a bachelor party...and y'know what? It fits perfectly into the overall activities. Combine the two for a perfect weekend.

Some tips...never plan to gamble in the same casino after a major event....chaos is a good description of that. Vale Tudo gives a perfectly good example of why I don't waste money on "good" seats...most of the time unless I'm in the $500+ seats, I'm looking at the screens (pretty much the same with every venue now...not like the old days before the UFC became popular in Vegas). If you have a large party, plan a limo to take you places after the event or be prepared to stand in line for a taxi (or walk to a nearby hotel for a quicker ride). Know the afterparty location and get there as early as possible. As for the fights, the actual fights are the same as in any location...you'll just have a much better time because you're in Vegas and the party is 24/7 with the fight right in the middle of it.

i have been to 4 ufc events in vegas. the first two i went to i sat in the $300 seats and had a good time but still had to look at the big screen because the camera men and the cage blocked the fighters at times. the last two times i stayed in the $100 seats and had jut as good a time. its farther awy but the higher sngle lets you look down into the cage so its easier to see but i still had to look at the big screens. if i could plan it out i would rather see fights at the mandalay bay because the arena slightly smaller and its easier to get in and out of brfore and after the figh. oh and if you put any bets down on the fight you should check out a club first then pick up your bets after that or the next day. the entire casino and sports book will be filled.
