Big bike gang problem up in Canada too. A few months back there was a killing in a small org that was linked to organized crime that two fighters and the promoter were affiliated with on opposite sides.

Understatement of the young year.
It is pretty bad, but the bad part is that most people up here don't even realize it is going on. The own so much up here. Quebec is by far worst off, but they are everywhere.

My brother (Toronto Cop) is always talking about the Hells Angels.
A couple years ago there was a huge uproar about them actually putting up a billboard on the side of a Toronto overpass.http://www.bikernewsonline.com/lib/ontario-hells-angels.jpg

like intricate bombs or bottles full of gas with flaming rags in them?

Just curious as to the level of seriousness here.

Ok. I wasn't sure if you were being literal with the knocking down buildings stuff.

Also, this reminds me to tell everyone to watch Sons of Anarchy on FX....great show.

Yeah, I grew up in a town with a well known Hells Angels presence so I know all about them, or rather, no I don't.
Anyway, the bikers in Canada are getting dealt a harsh blow by the governments and law enforcement as they are basically going after bikers like the U.S. Govt went after the Mob with R.I.C.O. style laws up here in Canada.
Biker clubhouses getting seized by the govt, property, etc.

Its an interesting feeling in your gut when a couple dozen Banditos, Angels, Mongols or their support clubs roll into your local establishment. You might also be surprised at what upstanding citizens are members and riding.

That's the thing, most idiots who say they are "associated" or are a "prospect" are absolutely full of sh1t.
The real deal guys never say anything, cuz they don't have to.

Prospects of these groups are like monkeys on crack. They go off in all directions trying to please. Idiots.

That's the thing they don't understand.
Shooting your mouth off when you're not given permission isn't going to please anyone.
It's rare that permission is given to go into a bar, act like a drunk or stoned idiot, start fights, and then yell and scream crap like "Do you know who I am?"
and "I'm a prospect for the H.A."
Anyone that ever says that is absolutely full of sh1t.
I remember a guy who almost got taught a lesson because he was an actual prospect and he wore his jacket with the bottom rocker into a bar.
He wasn't on official club business, so you can guess how that went over when 3 guys who were full members, not wearing their jackets came in.
They weren't too impressed.

I live in Hull Quebec, bikers (HA) are still very active. A quick mma related example:

I was at a freedom fight show here in Hull (mma is still illegal in Ontario) and the promoter, Pete Rodley, didn't pay his "taxes" so some good old boys went to their hotel and beat up all the fighters and promoter(s) using tasers.

Check this out..http://www.cbc.ca/canada/ottawa/story/2008/07/28/ot-beating-080728.html

Bikers not dead...especially in northern Ontario and northern Quebec.
It's really cool that Yves writes about this kind of stuff.

One night my dad was watching the local news and saw a co-worker (truck driver) of his on the news. Turns out he was a biker and wanted for murder and is still on the run to this day.
