make it happen atencio!!!

DreamFighters.com was lucky enough to get a chance to speak to Gegard Mousasi and ask him a few questions on his next fight, and who he wants to fight next.

Special Thanks to M-1 Global

DreamFighters.com Thanks for taking the time to speak to us at DreamFighters.com What have you been up to these last few weeks? Training?

Gegard Mousasi: Yes, after my visit to the M-1/afflictionshow I just started training again.

DreamFighters.com Do you know who you will be fighting next? and is there anyone in particular you would like to fight?

Gegard Mousasi: No, I have nothing planned yet. I would like to fight Vitor Belfort.

DreamFighters.com Do you know where you will be fighting next? Affliction?

Gegard Mousasi: I probably will fight in the next afflictionshow

DreamFighters.com You have said you want to move up to HeavyWeight. What made you want to do this?

Gegard Mousasi: Well I am 97 kilo’s naturally so obviously I can’t cut down to middleweight any more.

DreamFighters.com Out of the HeavyWeights fighting right now, who are some you would like a chance to fight against? (UFC, or Affliction fighters)

Gegard Mousasi: I don’r really care.

DreamFighters.com You have mentioned before you train sometimes with Fedor. Can you tell us about that? What it is like to train with Fedor?

Gegard Mousasi: It’s great to train with someone with so much experience. I can learn a lot from him.

DreamFighters.com You were at Affliction “Day Of Reckoning” correct? What did you think of the main event ? (Fedor vs Arlovski) ?

Gegard Mousasi: It was great, Fedor looked sharp.

DreamFighters.com Would you like to fight Fedor one day?

Gegard Mousasi: If the money was ok I would probably. I would love the challenge but I am sure I won’t beat him haha and now we are both M-1 teammembers.

DreamFighters.com What are your thoughts of the WAMMA belt and WAMMA system?

Gegard Mousasi: I like the WAMMA the system.

DreamFighters.com Is there anything you would like to say to your fans?

Gegard Mousasi: I hope I will get a chance to fight in the USA soon.

DreamFighters.com Gegard, it was an honor speaking with you. We wish you the best of luck!

Gegard Mousasi: Thank you

He sounds very wishy-washy in interviews.

I seriously doubt he "can't" make MW anymore, he just doesn't want to.

Nothing wrong with that, but at least be real about it.

i want him to crush souza again since he(souza) thinks it was a lucky shot!

wait, what weight does he want to fight Vitor at? He's saying he is too big for MW, so he's calling out a MW?

I could have sworn Mousasi had a fight or two left with FEG anyway. I don't think they would let their GP winner go so easily, even if he doesn't plan on fighting at MW anymore.

He has a non exclusive contract. So he's still part of K-1 but can fight elsewere too.

Hmm, for some reason I thought there was a no-compete clause with the GP winners. Probably bogus news I read on some bull**** site.

I don't think that's true because at least in K-1 guys like Andy Souwer, Badr Hari, Overeem and Bukaw Por Pramuk can fight in non K-1 events in Amersterdam. Souwer was the Max GP champion too.

It also depends on the fighter I think. Bob Sapp was signed to like a 30 fight contract, that is impossible to get out of. it wasn't until he started sucking that K-1 allowed him to fight in non K-1 fights. Of course Sapp was a cash cow at one point so his contract might have been different.

****, This whole time I was thinkin it was Jacare/Belfort. I always mistake Mousasi and Souza for some reason.

Lucky, when you mentioned him being the GP winner, I was about to correct you.

You can't say Gerard is looking for easy fights. A newly motivated and dangerous Belfort is a pretty intimidating opponent. Tough fight to call...
