was it to welcome Saku to the UFC!
was it somekind of ceremony!

It is only a ceremony but Sakuraba was invited to UFC by Randy. :D

tito ortiz did the flower exchange in a saku fight years back. he also gave tre telligman flowers and tre was reluctant to except them. anyone remember those exact fights or am i just trippin?

What Lefty posted just brought up a past thought for me. Remember Tito's post-fight interview back at UFC 30 when he called out Sakuraba?

The flower ceremony is basically one of welcome and respect. I'm not sure how or why they pick who gives flowers to who. Keita, any idea the significance of who gets the flowers? I could see Sak getting them as a legend, but it would make more sense for the final GP fighters to get them or even the heavy main event.

A couple years ago Tito did the exact same thing at a PRIDE event.

Tito will destroy Liddel but would get destroyed in Pride.

Tito Ortiz is still a good fighter. It seems that everyone has thrown Tito out the window simply because of his one loss to Randy. Other Wanderlei, Randy, and Rampage, I think Tito could beat any other Light Heavyweight in the world.
