nice results. I knew Genki wouldn't be able to beat Krauss, but he must have pulled off a valiant effort to be able to last the distance with him. Hopefully this loss will get it through his head that he belongs in MMA because he's one of the best grapplers in the world.

i just found out that masato beat former boxer vince phillips. vince has a decent boxing career, his biggest highlight was k.o ing kostya tyszu in the late 90's. now at the age of 40, he made the mistake of thinking he could take on a k-1er (best one at that weight i might add). he was t.k.oed by a kick to the thigh.

Not only the best at that weight, but the best P4P in the world.

Sorry for all the Masato praise, but he simply oozes badass, and I must say, if there is any K-1 fighter I'm a "nuthugger" of, it's Masato.

got this from fightnews.com:

Former IBF 140-pound champ Vince Phillips, 40, turned out to have his right arm fractured when he blocked a strong kick of Japanese K-1 fighter Masato, who easily annihilated Phillips in less than four minutes this Tuesday in Tokyo, Japan. It seems pitiful that such a formerly well-reputed old boxer as Phillips appeared in a K-1 bout without any experience of fighting not only with his hands but with his legs, and thus suffered an injury. He was publicized and introduced as the man who had inflicted the sole defeat to Konstantine Tszyu, which must be a humiliation to boxing.

they didn't actually believe that Phillips would have a shot in hell of beating Masato did they? You can throw in ANY pro boxer under 170 pounds, and they'd get schooled by Masato. I can guarantee it. Masato uses combinations of kicks and punches the likes of which I've never seen before.

vince phillips is a 40 year old, washed up crackhead(literaly). he is a poor representative for the sport of boxing. some fighters like delahoya ,mosley ,or hopkins could teach him a thing or two. unless the boxer has previous kickboxing training, it'd be a tough task to compete with masato by k-1 rules. brilliant move by k-1 to try and sway american boxing fans to k-1.

Sorry but Masato would kill every single one of them. He's just too good right now.

Dela Hoya vs Masato would be truly kickass!! That fight would be filled with so much hype and buzz surrounding it that all viewrs America or Asia would have to tune it. I see Masato ending it with a kick to the tempel though.

To add to the Sudo/Kruass fight, many thought that Sudo won the fight.
His unique strikes and spinning backfists actually landed quite a few times and Krauss never had Sudo in any trouble throughout the whole fight. Sudo said that if he had one more round he would have have finished Krauss off.
