Sakuraba Injured...

It has been revealed that Kazushi Sakuraba sustained injuries during his fight with Kevin Randleman at PRIDE: Final Conflict. After the fight was over, Sakuraba was taken to the hospital and stayed overnight. The full extent of the injuries are unkown but doctors have advised Sakuraba not to fight on December 31st. However, Sakuraba is not heeding medical adivce, and assured the media that he will indeed be ready for his fight on December 31st.

-Wow, everybody knew Sakuraba had balls, but this might be stretching over to the line of stupidity. Imagine what's going to happen if Saku is indeed fighting Silva when he's not even supposed to be in the ring? This man is seriously nuts. He truly loves to fight and refuses to take even the slightest break from MMA competition to let his body heal.

If they made him stay overnight I'm guessing the injury was something more than bone or muscle...head injury I'm thinking...concussion? Just my arm chair physician opinion...why else would he stay overnight?

That's true here in America. If you stay overnight, somebody's paying alot of $ and it's for something serious or potentially serious. I wonder if things are different in Japan in this way?... In Physical Therapy school I had to give a little speech regarding Japan's healthcare system and know that they provide more care to the public in general than we do. But I don't know much. I just hope Pride doesn't let Sak destroy himself. Maybe sooner or later Pride is just going to have to bench him for a while.

Sakuraba is amazing. Nobody has heart and guts like this guy, that's not even debatable. I applaud his amazing fighting spirit and I hope he truly is ok for his fight.

I hope Saku doesn't undergo permanent brain damage because of this. :(

he obviously allready has permanent debilatating brain damage otherwise he would not keep pushing the limits like he is.
