Good rankings. It seems as though the votes were very well spread out for each fighter.

The results seem perfect as they are there except for maybe a couple of possible exceptions. I thought Phil Baroni should have been right around 2 or 3 and I think he should still stay there now even with his defeat to Evan Tanner, keeping in mind the supreme controversy that came with that result.

I agree with those rankings but shouldn't Takase be higher? Anderson Silva is 6th yet Takase soundly upset him with a beautiful triangle choke just recently and still he didn't even make the top 10.

pretty accurate rankings. With Sakuraba's huge win over Randleman and Busta's two consecutive losses, especially a 50 second KO, I think Sakuraba is rightfully the #1 MW in the world once again right now.

Thanks for doing the math Robby. I almost missed this thread as it was just about off the 1st page due to lots of posting. Here's hoping the webbie creates a section to keep our official board picks so we can keep them going thru the year and have the yearly awards. :D

I agree Cbear. Not only would that be great for us posters, but it might increase traffic to the main page and the message board.

Done.

How often should the rankings be updated?

twice a year?
four times a year?

When we decide, we should also pick dates for the next voting periods.

Thanks mmafighting. I'll also post up the results of the Lightweight and Welterweight divisions tomorrow to post up on the main page as well.

As for how many times a year, 3 or 4 sounds good to me.
