That way when everyone is quoting your post and laughing at you after the fight you could still say "I was just joking". Always give yourself an out if you feel the need to make silly statements. :(

i was reading that tyson attended the mesi and klitchko fights. he was questioned by reporters and said he wasnt sure if he had it in him to box again. with that in mind, i cant even picture a sapp/tyson fight. i'd still have to go with mike, but expect a sloppy, disapointing fight. i doubt tyson will train hard for it.

I would rather see Tyson in an MMA rules fight. Except for one provision,

I'm saying Sapp pushes Tyson against the ropes and beats him up with a flurry to earn a TKO victory. Tyson still has the power, but he's lost his accuracy. It's going to be an ugly fight. If this fight lasts longer than 2 minutes I will be shocked!

I really am not a fan of K-1. Of course this will help their popularity. But, what I cannot figure out is whether this will help MMA or not? It will definitely raise a lot of awareness in the fight community that something other than boxing exists. But will it translate to any popularity for MMA I don't know?

I doubt it will help MMA's popularity at all. The people that realize there is a different fighting sport other than boxing will be repulsed at how terrible the Tyson/Sapp fight truly is.

What is it with K-1 lately?? They put on a darn good show full of awesome matches and great fighters....then they put out a card full of Gimmick matches (IE: the New Years show with Sudo vs. Butterbean and Sapp vs. Akebono) good for ratings, yeah, but darn bad for the sport.
Oh, and I hope Tyson fights LeBanner or someone else that can knock his addled brains out. He is a disgrace.

Yeah a fight against Sapp is stupid. Everybody knows that Sapp is a bum. If Tyson ever came to MMA he's get his ass sacked like a fire. Imagine him facing Fedor! Hah!

But will it translate to any popularity for MMA I don't know?I don't know what it does for K-1 or MMA, but in many eyes it will further legitimize boxing when Tyson destroys one of the biggest names in MMA with one monster hook or uppercut.
