This is a spectacle, nothing more. If Genki wins, does it really elevate his stature as a lightweight? I don't think so. If Butterbean wins everyone will say Genki was outweighed. Thank goodness that the UFC has ceased making these ridiculous kind of matchups. This isn't sport! This is a spectacle.

What a stupid fight. I love Sudo and he's the much better fighter but exactly how would Genki get 350 pounds down to ground? Obviously if the fight somehow goes to the ground it's over.
someone having bj penn as an avatar i'd figured you'd think that a small guy does have a chance.
i actually think that this could be a very instrementul fight because Butterbean is actually respected by alot of people as a good boxer, even though his size and whatnot, he has punching power and is a unique speciman at his build but what he can do.
Genki is already known well in mma, he has done well with k-1 and mma, and this could be a very good bet for people to make. which is better, boxing or mma?
i think being that mma is a mixture of everything/anything, and boxing is only one thing, it's fair enough to say that it should be decided in mma rules, so the boxer can use what he knows.
i say Genki by something crazy.

This is horrible booking. Skill level not withstanding, there must be "some" parity in size of fighters. Next thing we know, K-1 will announce Emmanual Yarborough vs a crippled, blind, midget. :?

As hard as Bean hits (with MMA gloves no less?), I hope for the sake of Sudo's mental health that he gets Bean down without taking a shot, but he's bound to eat something. :|

I also think Bean will murder the poor little guy, Bean is not only a hard hitter anyone who has watch him fight regualrly knows he is a very accurate puncher his landed % is one of the highest out there ad with the weight, he will be hard to take down. This is gonna hurt.
