Do you work for team quest or something?

And what's with that green crap they say they always take? Life force I think it's called. What's that all about? I think it's like Randy's Viagra fountain of youth product, right? Does he consume this stuff, or put it directly on his penis?

Nope, just a really big supporter. I was asked to be the moderator on their forums a while back and since then got the chance to meet a lot of the Team Quest folks at UFC43, hung out with Dan a few times, etc., but mostly I just like to help them out however I can, 'cause they're a really amazing bunch of people.

And what's with that green crap they say they always take? Life force I think it's called. What's that all about?

Here's how their advertisement describes it --

Light Force "High Energy Greens"

Light Force Supplements is the "Secret Weapon" that 40 year old, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Randy "The Natural" Couture used to beat former UFC King Tito Ortiz at UFC 44: Undisputed.

Dr. Ryan Parsons: The High-Energy Greens are a combination of 48 different alkalizing grasses, herbs, and vegetables combined with MSM. What they do is help alkalize the body. Hard training as well as the average diet and lifestyle most people live are very acidic in nature. When you have an acid build up in your body, your conditioning decreases, your performance and health can suffer.

Everyone heard Joe Rogan at UFC 44 saying "I've got to get on that diet!" and talking about Ryan Parsons Light Force Supplement. We also got a chance to see how they work when we watched Randy Couture cruise to a victory over the "cardio king" Tito Ortiz. All of this at the age of 40!

Dr Ryan Parsons: Simply mixing Light Force with water and drinking them down will get you tremendous benefits.

Part of the training manual talks about the supplement and the diet.

Here's an interview with Ryan Parsons in case anyone's interested, as well --

I haven't seen the manual, but I highly recommend looking into the manual as I used to train there and their programs and knowledge are awesome. Excellent for both competitive and street application, but emphasizing reality (as opposed to theory), and they strive to cut out what doesn't work so well or at least not so often. And they don't over-emphasize wrestling, as I first thought they would. They have great Muay Thai and BJJ instruction as well, emphasizing MIXED martial arts. No, this isn't a commercial; just trying to give some more info.

Thanks RG. I need more gloves and am curious about the other stuff. Actually, I've never been to TQ's website either.

The guys who run the main site are still working on it, so the graphics aren't as nice as they will eventually be - but there's good content. They have the lastest info on their mini-camps and grappling tournament. The store has all kinds of stuff for sale. And they post news articles anytime they have something they want to share -- Dan wrote an article, they post photos of the weigh-ins when they fight at events, behind the scenes stuff, etc.

I moderate the forums and we do talk a lot about Team Quest, but the sport in general as well. Also there's a section dedicated to regional promotions and there's a lot of talk about the whole Pacific Northwest scene. I also make a daily effort to post any new articles, photos, interviews, etc. on the forums that pertain to Team Quest. So if you ever need any info on them or are just curious, come check out the forums!

We also have a live chat for registered users that's lots of fun! :D

Just FYI in case anyone tried to check out the Team Quest forums this weekend - the forums were moved to a new web address and the button on TQFC.com hasn't been updated yet.

So if you want to check out the forums, go to www.tqfc.us

Thanks! :D

RG - Have you used Light Force?

Ring Girl

No, I haven't personally, although I'm interested in trying it. I know the guys do actually use it, though. My boyfriend asked Dan about it and he said he used it prior to the Bustamante fight and definitely feels a difference when he's taking it and doing the Team Quest diet.

I haven't either. All I've heard is some of the biological effects of it, from an anatomy and physiological perspective...can't tell you if it tastes chalky or not. I'll ask questions around me, but you might want to jump on the Teamquest forum and see if anybody there has experience with it.

Regarding the taste, Ryan Parsons, who created the stuff, says he never hears anything bad from anyone about the taste and most people just mix it with water with no problems...

I wonder if Dana bought 3 copies and had them shipped to Tito, Chuck-o and Vitor-o?

Still wouldn't help them, except for Vitor who will become the new champ soon.
