New York: Mike Tyson, who earned more than $US200 million ($257m) during his professional career, had $US5553 left in cash on December 31, according to papers filed with the US Bankruptcy Court.
Tyson, who filed for bankruptcy protection in August, also had $US174,000 in property and equipment and more than $US10.2m in liabilities at the end of 2003.
The former world heavyweight champion reported earning $US720,018 and spending $US85.50 in December, and earning $US5.68 and spending $US22,000 in November.
Tyson hasn't fought since knocking out Clifford Etienne last February, earning $US5m for the fight. He has a 50-4-2 career record and became the youngest heavyweight champion in 1986 at the age of 20. He lost his undisputed title to James "Buster" Douglas in 1990 and spent three years in prison after a 1992 rape conviction.
Tyson regained the World Boxing Council and World Boxing Association titles in 1996 with victories over Frank Bruno and Bruce Seldon. He lost the WBA title in 1996 to Evander Holyfield and was disqualified in the rematch for biting Holyfield's ear.
An adviser to Tyson said the boxer might fight in May or June in an effort to pull himself out of debt, the New York Daily News reported on Monday
how can you spend money like that, oh well guess we will be seeing him in action sooner, maybe k1;)
I`v read that in newspapers today. Very sad. Bad choice of women, habbits, friends and managers made him broke again. Bad for him but good for us. No mater all bull****s he has done in his private and professional life he is still a magnet for me and millions of others who can`t wait to see him in the ring (box, K-1, MMA) again. I know he is hated by many but he is pure street fighter with ghetto attitude and maybe most talented hw fighter ever and it will be good to see him fight again.

Mike just never should have gotten together with Don King. As soon as King got in Tyson's picture, that was the beginning of the end for him.

Tyson owes millions to his ex wife, the IRS, his former management and numerous creditors even including HBO I think. At one time there was a breakdown of who he owed and it was staggering. He has alot of property and 'things' but much of those can most likely be seized by the IRS for taxes. He did everything wrong moneywise, bad managment, bad advisors, bad investments, too many leeches (posse), too many divorces, and buying too much crap. They always think the money train will be forever...

I think if Iron Mike joined a K-1 event he could do some serious damage. I've seen him punch guys out from a distance of only about 4-6in. Seeing him destroy opponents with 16oz. gloves on makes you wonder what he could do bare knucked or with only a set of 4oz. gloves. The only problem is could he hold his own with on the ground? He may lack the skills of a ground fighter, but he definetly has the strength.

Whether K-1 or MMA, against top stars Mike Tyson would get his ass handed to him. Tyson would be able to beat some of the average fighters but against top fighters he would not cut it.
In K-1, agains the top fighters he would not be able to handle the great kicks just like what has happened to every other boxer that has tried K-1.
In MMA, Tyson would easily get taken down and pounded. Against a guy like Cro Cop, he would be knocked out on the feet.
