Many people are putting out there this lucky punch theory..

I disagree..read what I write and then watch the fight you will see what I mean..don't listen to Jim Lampley, Roid’s personal cheerleader just watch what happens..

Round 1:
Tarver is fighting cautious getting Jones' timing down. He is blocking virtually everything, nothing lands clean..

Jones wins the first round..between rounds Buddy gets Tarver hyped..

Round 2:
Tarver controlled this entire round w/ his jab and then his KO. Roid said he would not have his back on the ropes this time, so Tarver is already imposing his will on Roid because Roid is on the ropes, Tarver is controlling Roid w/ his jab and then he gets Roid in the corner and counters him and knocks him out..

Now, this was set up, Tarver imposed himself on Roid and did what he said he was going to do, there was no luck to it..

Tarver did the same to Eric Harding. There was no luck to it, Tarver said what he was going to do and then went in and did it. Tarver is the better man.

Roid only landed 12 punches and Tarver 7. So while Roid threw quite a bit in the first round he hardly landed. Tarver owns the 2nd, you can watch him totally impose himself on Roid. Tarver has his number and is they fight again he will win again.

my breakdown:

roy won the first easy while trying to dictate the pace against the bigger man. in doing so, roy had to go toe to toe more often. roy landed some nice body shots.

second round, generally the same. roy balls by fighting more offensively, and not by letting tarv push him around.tarv is using his jab well and blocking well with his gloves. roy nails tarv, tavr goes low, comes up and nails roy with a perfect shot while trading lefts. roy drops. roy tries to get back into it, but the ref wisely stops it. great punch by tarv.

was it a fluke punch? considering tarv didnt land to many good shots prior, and had HIS EYES CLOSED, i'd say yes, it wass a fluke punch. but then again, i'm a jones fan and am naturally biased. is there really such thing as a fluke puch in boxing?.....thats another question.

a rematch is inevitable, and i'd bet on roy.
