I'm with you all the way. I hate the Lakers and I hope they get their asses kicked.
Sadly, the Lakers will still likely win the NBA finals in 5 or 6 games.

Is it just me or does everyone hate the Lakers? Even in L.A i've come across Laker haters. I want the Lakers to win, but i'm not just one of those people riding on the fab 4 bandwagon, i've liked them since the days of Vlade, Van Exel, and Eddie Jones. The Pistons may be up 1-0 but nothing is over yet, i've seen what they did to the Spurs when they were up 2-0 and until I see the Lakers down 3-0 then and only then will I lose sleep.

There are so many great things that would come with a Detroit championship. Karl Malone could possibly retire without a ring. Kobe would have less bling to pawn for smokes in prison. There would be less smack for Shaq to run, thereby freeing up some time for him to actually develope some form of shooting motion. Commentators could remove themselves from Phil Jackson's jock, and finally all of the annoying people you work with could park their bandwagon until next year.

I do think this is the last year the Lakers will have Kobe, D-Fish and other key players, also I think Phil will not renew his contract to coach, which isn't really a bad thing because the Lakers would be able to develop some young talent like Kareem Rush, and Luke Walton, maybe after this year we will see who the true Laker fans really are.

why the lack of love for Karl? He's without a doubt the greatest power forward to ever play the game.

why the lack of love for Karl? He's without a doubt the greatest power forward to ever play the game. He's only considered one of the greats because he's had John Stockton carrying his sorry ass for his entire career! By the way I hate Stockton's whiney ass too. Why no love for the mailman? Let me count the ways:
1. He played for Utah.
2. He cries more than Dick Vermeil at a screening of Beaches.
3. He thinks he's God's gift to the league.
4. He made a big, public stink about not wanting to play against Magic Johnson for fear of contracting AIDS.
5. He's a Laker
6. He gives Postal Workers a bad name.

Without Malone, Stockton wouldnt have been nearly as great either. They fed off of each other. No doubt though, Malone is a much better overall player than Stockton ever was.

Shamrocked, you're funny. There's plenty about malone that irritates me too, but to me the worst is the fact that he plays Muay Thai basketball. Sure, everybody gets too loose every now and then, but everybody knows he pivots with the lead elbow and drives with the lead knee, regardless of who is guarding him. That's chicken****. Sure, get physical, but if you can't do so within the rules you're a cheater that doesn't deserve a ring. If everybody gets to elbow and knee, then fine.
