Rulon Gardner gets Bronze & retires

He won the Bronze medal and left his wrestling shoes in the center of the mat which is the time honored tradition when wrestlers retire. He has expressed no interest in pro wrestling or mma, so hopefully he can work with amatuer wrestling in some capacity.

Gardner is one of the great stories of this Olypics. I was hoping he could go out in glory. With everything he has been through in recent months, he deserves all the honor and respect.

After losing the toe and suffering so many crazy accidents in recent months I'm surprised that he was able to medal at all. Too bad he hasn't considered a career in MMA. I'd like to see how he dealt with a punch.
