SFUK Open Mat 9: Manchester
It's time for another SFUK Open Mat and we are returning to Manchester,
the home of our biggest event to date. Previous SFUK Open Mats have had
over 100 people on the mats, from total beginners who have never grappled before to Pro MMA fighters and Commonwealth Judo and Wrestling champions.
Attendees have travelled from England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and France!
Date: Sunday 17th October 2004, 12pm till 4pm
Location: Sugden Sports Centre, Grosvenor Street, Manchester, M1 7HL
(UK)
Price: £5 for training, £2 for spectators (pay on the door).
Contact: Nathan Leverton - totalgrappling@hotmail.com (http://us.f518.mail.yahoo.com/ym/Compose?To=totalgrappling@hotmail.com&YY=70758&order=down&sort=date&pos=0)
Format: One hour sparring, two hours technique workshops and then
another one hour sparring. However, this structure is just to keep the day
moving along, do as much or as little as you want.
THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION - It is a shared training experience and
social event for the betterment of our sport. A chance to meet, spar with, and learn from the people you speak to and read about on the Internet. This
is about training together and making friends, if you're looking for a
fight go somewhere else. Instructors, students, fighters, promoters and fans
welcome. Bullies and bad attitudes are not.
