Wow, that was one of the greatest moments I've ever seen in the history of Baseball.

I just caught it, Indeed. Ichiro is the man. There is no doubt in my mind that if Ichiro wouldve played his whole career in the US, he wouldve broken Pete Rose's MLB hit record.

For those of you who dont know baseball, getting 200 hits in a season your considered all-star calibur, Ichiro's 258 Hits (and counting) in a single season is just unheard of, the games greatest players never get close to 240 in a season. When is all said and done Ichiro will be considered one of the greatest hitters in the history of Major League Baseball. Japan must be in a Riot right now.

this is amazing. The guy is simply a hitting machine.

The way he shook Mrs. Sisler's hand at the end of it all pretty much brought tears to my eyes.

Everybody pay your respect to the new hit king of the MLB.

Yes, Japan is in a riot right now.

I saw the moment of the new record on satelite TV live.
I was really excited about it.
We are really@proud of Ichiro Suzuki.
(Honestly speaking, I prefer Baseball to MMA a lot!):)

Extraordinary. Automatic hall of famer.......

One day Ichiro is going to break two more records: .400 batting avg and the famous Joe Dimaggio 56 game hit streak.

If anyone can do it, Ichiro is surely the man foe the job.

In the press conference after the record break, Paul Molitor said that we haven't even seen Ichiro hit his prime yet.

If that's true, I wonder what Ichiro's prime is?

First off, congrats to Ichiro. What a great accomplishment. He will certainly be a Hall of Famer when its all said and done. I too thought that was a great moment when he went shake hands with Mrs Sisler. I think he does have the best chance at hitting .400. I honestly dont think anyone will breat the DiMaggio 56 game hit streak though. Good job Ichiro!

If i recall correctly , I can read Ichiro's lips and he said "sorry,I'm so sorry" when he shook her hand, I watched it over and over again, and I'm pretty sure that what he said first. What a class act.

Hey Booker, who's more popular in Japan right now: Hideki Matsui or Ichiro?

I think Ichiro is more popular than Hideki, but personally I like Hideki better than Ichiro, cuz Ichiro is a bit cocky.
The Japanese MLB palyer I like best is Hideo Nomo from LA Dodgers. He is a pioneer to open the door to MLB from Japan.

There was a lot of hype about Hideki Matsui when he first came to the states. He showed what everyone was talking about with a breakout year.
