Tatsuya Kawajiri will fight Vitor Shaolin Ribeiro for the Shooto championship on December 14th. Shaolin Ribeiro is universally regarded as either the #1 or #2 lightweight in the world. Kawajiri is ranked in the top 10 and has a very impressive victory over Yves Edwards.
It should be a great fight and should shake things up in the lightweight rankings.

Maybe the UFC will pick up the winner.....
Well we all have our dreams.
I think it will be easier to Shaolin to fight in Pride than in UFC.
Remember that Tony de Souza, from Nova União Team, was invited to fight at Pride, after the people from DSE came here in Brazil to watch MECA.
After all this stress with Robinho at Shooto, I´m sure Dedé is looking for new places for his lightweights to fight at.

Great fight! The winner automatically solidifies them the #2 LW ranking behind Gomi.(Granted that Gomi beats Crazy Horse)

Great fight!
The future of the LWs may hinge on Gomi. That is, for the first time ever Bushido is being headlined by two LWs. If it's a ratings success and Gomi delivers it should open up doors for LWs around the world to come challenge Gomi in PRIDE.

Sounds great!
Kawajiri is one of my favorites. I still believe he won to Uno by decision in January.(it was a draw)

I think the LW division is easilly the best in MMA. From top to bottem most of the top ten could easilly flip-flop with every fight. Some major fights in the division are coming up.
