I wrestled in high school quite frequently and I placed 3rd in my HS division. What kind of help did you want? Also, are you a freestyle wrestler of a greco-roman wrestler?

its free style greco-roman...Iam not sure about being on the bottom, i know how to exlode, but after a while a cant do it.also i can get them down but then iam not sure what counts as a pin or points wise.I know that an escape is one point.Did you have a stratagy that worked without running out of gas?

To not gas you need to have lots of conditioning.period. just like in boxing.
are you on a wrestling team? or just a club?
the best way to get your body used to wrestling is to do it often and for a long time. we had this really good rwrester in to our bjj gym and he had us doing rounds and rounds of just takedowns. just take the other guy down and get back up. we would go about 5-8 5min rounds with minimal rest between rounds 30sec to 1 min. it worked for me and the guys at our gym.
one thing he told us that helped me alot on takedowns is after the guy sprawls shoot right away, because there is a point where they relax right after the sprawl thinking htat they have defended the takedown.

If you get taken down and are on the bottom, the best strategy in wrestling is to press your body flat on the mat like a rock so he can't roll you. If he can roll you fully he gets valuable points, but if he can't for a certain time interval the ref will stand you back up.
My favorite method of getting a takedown is to fake first. I like to start off doing to routine handchecks that you always do to start off a match. Whenever I'm ready, a fake up high as if I'm going to grab his head and then I shoot as fast I can for his legs. Instead of using the standarddrive forward technique once I have his legs, I like to use a trip. I lift my opponent's left leg up a couple feet off the ground and then I use my right leg to wrap it around his left and take him down all the while I'm driving. I find that it works almost everytime.

thats interesting...i learned that on my own, they didnt teach us that, and it does work allot, somtimes they try it back. now i see all the other guys doing it. its a good move, they hop and their body weight is on that foot and then i sweep it.thanks,
