Im sure he is really suffering. He took a lot of punishment during his career. Best of wishes, he was a great wrestler. I was a big fan of him when I first seen him in WCW for a short stint and then of course in ECW.

I hate to think how badly he must be hurt to go into the hospital. Sabu used to work hurt all the time, use duct tape and superglue on his wounds and take terrible punishment. A man like that doesn't go to the hospital for a sore back. Without sounding too dramatic, perhaps all hardcore fans need to send out a prayer or good wishes to Sabu.

Sabu is the man. I still remember in his now famous Stairway to Hell match against The Sandman, he broke his jaw half way through. But instead of just quitting the match like most other wrestlers would do, Sabu taped his jaw together and finished the match.

I too loved the ECW style work and all that guys like Sabu and RVD. I am amazed RVD's body is holding together as well as it is and not suprised at all that Sabu is destroyed. Sad....but not surprised.

Did they both take the same amount and type of bumps in ECW? I have seen some of Sabu's and it was just a matter of time. I don't remember RVD doing anything remotely as insane but I may be basing that on seeing his work today.

Different style with Subu more of a human cannonball. RVD did alot more athletic stuff which was heavy on knees, back, neck, etc... I don't know how his ankles and knees hold up to the leaps and landings.

Rob wrestles the way the WWE allows him to wrestle. He caught alot of flack when he came in for busting people up and told to tone it down. I wonder how he felt when Shane McMahon stole his drop kick across the ring into the chair in face move?

The move you refer to is the awesome Van Terminator that RVD invented in ECW.

He has actually done it a couple of times, but never on a regular basis like he used to do in ECW.

You'll likely never see him do it ever again though, because Vince had pretty much gone completely against any type of "hardcore" wrestling now. When was the last time you saw a truly brutal match in the WWE?
