I'm getting back to training in mixed martial arts. One area of the game that I sorta neglected when I was competing was the leg lock. I mean I can apply heel hooks, knee bars and achilles locks decently but I'm far from being really good at it. Can anyone point me to a url where leg locks are discussed extensively. Illustrated examples would be prefered.

ManongGuard,
I'm not sure where online to find detailed descriptions of leglocks, but if you are interested in purchasing videos detailing them, check out Mario Sperry's Vale Tudo 2 series. Mario devotes two tapes in the set to leglocks. It's all leg, foot, ankle, knee and toe locks in real fight situations. It doesn't have any ridiculously fancy stuff that would get you pummled on the street if you tried to apply them. Go to groundfighter.com to check them out. Hope that helps.
If you can, get the Sakuraba Instructional. His leglocks are amazing and he shows you exactly how and when to do them.

I actually found myself a leg lock last week... applied it from a kneeling half guard... sorta like a side knee bar with just the arms applying pressure. The guy tapped but I badly bruised my left forearm.
