WWE Signs Marty Jannetty

Dave Meltzer is reporting that WWE has officially signed Marty Jannetty to a contract. At this time, it is unknown if he will be assigned to Raw or Smackdown.

There is a belief that he will be assigned to Raw.

It probably originally was just a 2 match deal. The Rocker reuinion, and Angle match. But he put on a hell of a show. Hes still great in the ring. And after seeing that, and the huge popularity he still has, how could WWE deny him a contract. This is the best move by WWE in a long time in my opinion. But what can I say, Im kinda partial to the guys from that era.

Now if they sign that junkie Jake Roberts, I'll be pissed.

Do any of you remember when Shawn Michaels first came back like a year ago? And they had that botched angle where he got beat down in the parking lot, and HHH was walking around threatening everyone, trying to find out who did it? And then, in classic lame wwe-writing of late, it turned out to be HHH who attacked him ?

I always thought it would've been a great storyline to have it turn out to be Marty who did it. like he's come back for revenge after all these years, Cape Fear-style. I guess now it's not too late. :0

It was the first time I've watched WWE in a loooong time. WWE actually did something right (for a change) in signing him.
