Rhyno was released by the WWE today . This is obviously the result of the Wrestlemania XXI party incident which received much press on the internet earlier this week.

For those who don't know, Rhyno was sent home after the Wrestlemania weekend festivities in Los Angeles, thus missing the “Raw” tapings Monday night. Rhyno has heat stemming from a party that took place at a hotel in which he reportedly smashed a flower pot during an argument with his wife.

At this point, it is not known if Rhyno will be removed from the 6/12 ECW PPV. WWE has already contracted many outside names to work the show, so it's possible Rhyno will still work the show.

Well, heres the full story to give you an idea of how mad they were.

Due to an incident during WrestleMania 21 week, there is huge heat on former ECW star Rhyno. WWE booked most of the wrestlers at the Universal Sheraton during the week, and Rhyno, in front of many on-lookers, destroyed a large ceramic flowerpot in the foyer of the hotel, due to an argument with his wife before the Mania after-party began.

WWE management promptly escorted Rhyno to his hotel room, and needless to say, he did not appear at the after party. The company is irate with the situation, as they had booked Rhyno into the hotel, and therefore he was representing the company. To make matters even worse, the incident happened in front of many witnesses who were WWE fans. Rhyno was not used on the RAW taping the following day.

It goes without saying that had Orton, Cena, or any of HHH's circle done this that nothing would have happened to them. Half the wrestlers should have been fired after the plane ride from hell. Orton should have been fired for sexual harasment of the divas who are quitting left and right to get away from him.

Well, it must have been bad because you would think the WWE would want Rhyno on the ECW ppv...since he was the last ECW champ. But you are right Bear, if HHH or Orton had done this....they would have not been in trouble. Hell look what Edge just did...his punishment, he goes over at Wrestlemania.

i hadn't heard about this. who quit? always thought he seemed like a creep in real life....

it must be rough to work for wwe. unless you're huge, they'll get rid of you and not even bother writing you out. i remember when chyna wanted more money than she was worth and they **** canned her. she had the women's title at the time! i never heard a word about it on air, just all of a sudden, boom! there's a six-way dance for the women's title at the next payperview, not even a mention of what happened to the champion. i admire the "grapefruits" it takes to pull a jedi mind trick that big on the audience. 'Chyna who? there's no such person. these are not the droids you're looking for..."

Best of luck to Rhyno. hope he catches on with TNA so he can make some money before their tv deal runs out and they're back in memphis running house shows.

I thought they would at least hold him until after the ECW pay per view. It sounds like the WWE aren't going to have many big names (Sandman,Sabu, Douglas..) at the ppv, they might as well hold on to the last ECW tv and world champ.

I read the WWE was able to get Douglas and Raven for the PPV. I think they agreed to let people work both Shane's show and then their show. Not sure if this is a fact though.
