Read a few and havent posted them. Just re-read an oldie. Hunter by James Byron Huggins. Its a pulp B action adventure but for some reason I like it. Military/CIA use dna from ancient creature thats like a badass killer Sasquatch thingie to try and come up with modern day dna manipulation for healing and enhancement--basically super steroids. Scientist injects himself and basically morphs into the thing and they find out ruled by bloodlust and killing and is damn near impossible to kill. It starts wiping out military installations in Alaska and the mil recruits Nathaniel Hunter, a noted guide and tracker to lead a kill team to take it out. Of course they dont want it taken out, they are using the kill team to bait it and try to re-capture it. Lots of battles, mayhem and outdoorsy stuff. Think of it as predator with Outlaw Josey Wales leading them and the creature is a killer badass bigfoot kinda thingie.

I've never read any of the star wars books either. I liked the Solo stuff so much I'm gonna check out some of the other books.

I'll check that one out. I had a friend recommend the Darth Maul book and another the Timothy Zahn books so I have those on my list as well. I've heard before the books are better than the movies and so far that holds true for me.

All the "tales" starwars books were good in my opinion. Jabba's palace is the best of them imo, but tales of bounty hunters and tales from mos eisley cantina were both very good as well.

The X-Wing series of books was decent early on, but the series went a little too long imo.
