    That sucks.

Wait you injured it slipping on ice?

I don't think you should give up though. Medicine has come along way, and also the wisdom and knowledge you have is still great to impart to your students even if you have to have someone else demonstrate.

thank you guys. I am getting over my disappointment. I probably will never do jiujitsu again(train), however I will probably teach again, some of you have seen what all I have had to overcome and understood where my disappointment came from. However I have decided to put the surgery off as long as I can hopefully a couple of years becuz I am training some crazy good cage fighters.

injured was an understatement...I blew out my knee

Steroids? Why can't you do JJ? 'tis not like you gotta kick or punch.

I don't know much about them, but I think steroids actually dry out joints rather than make them stronger. Maybe there are some that might help, but I don't know about them. I would think that would make the knee worse rather than better.

Best of luck with your recovery.
RIP Cam - you will be sorely missed

I'll be into the orthopaedics office thursday to find out if I need surgery on my shoulder. I injured it doing BJJ but I'm worried about playing hockey. I'll gladly give up BJJ to keep playing hockey. Luckily, in adult hockey it's only light bumping and checking nothing like the pros, so shoulders don't take a lot of punishment.

    Good luck to you.
