Like people here that have Chinese tattoos that they have no clue what they mean, there are people all over China wearing English shirts, although they don't speak a word of English.

Drunk woman strips on ice during hockey game: RCMP

CALGARY - This performance would have made Ned Braden proud.

In a scene reminiscent of the classic film Slap Shot, Mounties blew the whistle on an impromptu striptease during a men’s hockey game in Pincher Creek, Alta., on New Year’s Eve.

Only this performance involved a woman.

On Dec. 31, RCMP received a complaint from a motorist whose vehicle was damaged after he drove off a roadway to avoid a near head-on collision.

Mounties said the offending driver and passenger fled from the scene, but they located the car a short-time later and arrested the driver.

RCMP made patrols in an attempt to look for the passenger with no success but were alerted to a disturbance in the arena at about the same time that turned out to be related.

“The passenger who was also intoxicated had been dropped off at the arena and then proceeded to make her way onto the ice and remove her clothing despite the employees objections, delaying a hockey game,” said Mounties in a release.

Tiffany Hourie has been charged with impaired driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and refusal to provide a breath sample.

Brittany Hourie, the passenger, has been charged with indecent acts, obstruction of an officer and causing a disturbance.

Both women are expected to appear in court later this month.

Ha, I actually opened that program on the weekend for the first time in years, in order to grab an email address.

I figured it was not as readily used these days, but I am surprised it is shutting down.

Edit: I see they are shutting it down because they bought Skype.

OK, this has got to be the first time this has ever happened. Nice to be able to do something truly unique:

Stolen Train Crashes Into Home in Sweden

A young woman Tuesday took an empty commuter train from a depot and crashed it into a house in a Stockholm suburb, local officials said.

The woman had been hired to clean the train and its depot, and had access to the train, according to train operator Arriva.

An injured person was found by the train and sent to a hospital in an ambulance helicopter, local police said, adding the injured person was also detained for endangering the public. Police said it eas unlikely that anybody except the driver was on the train at the time of the accident, and no other injuries were reported.

Local police received an alarm call around 2.30 a.m. that a derailed train had collided with a building in the suburb of Saltsjobaden.

Bengt Grandinson, 71 years old, who lives on the top floor of the three-story building, woke up in the middle of the night from the loud crash, Swedish daily Aftonbladet reported. "It sounded like an air-plane crash. I rushed to the window and then I saw the train," Aftonbladet quoted him as saying.

"The police technicians have probably finalized the technical investigation," police spokesman Lars Bystrom told The Wall Street Journal. "Now that needs to be completed with witness hearings and other things so that we can sort out what happened and why."

By Tuesday afternoon, it still hadn't been possible to hear the injured person, Mr. Bystrom said.

Incidents involving trains getting seized and crashed into buildings are practically unheard of.

Arriva spokesman Tomas Hedenius said it remains unclear what the woman's intentions had been when the vehicle crashed at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour.

"If you manage to get hold of the key, it isn't particularly difficult to get a train rolling," he said. It isn't any more difficult to stop a train than to start it, he added.

According to her colleagues at cleaning firm Caretia, the young woman, born in 1990, has been a well-liked coworker, Mr. Hedenius said. "You didn't see this coming," he said.

Photographs from the scene showed the crumpled front car of the train buried deep into the structure.
