First hour or so was decent because most of the fights were stoppages, but the fights got less exciting as time went on. It was definitely awkward to watch so many fights in a row without commentary or a real crowd. Maybe it would have been better if they had more charismatic coaches, but Urijah and Dominick were both boring and Dana seemed bored too. I fast forwarded through all the commercials, but if I didn't have a PVR I probably would have stopped watching.

Overall, I'd say that this format is definitely worse for the "getting into the house" episode, but I won't judge the format yet until I see the regular episodes with only one live fight.

As for the fighters, there were a few that looked good, but the talent level overall was weak. I don't understand the decision to have 155 and 170 lb guys this year, when those are the 2 deepest divisions in the UFC.

One thing they did well was adjust, I think someone realized the show was missing something, and they made sure the coaches and Dana were mic'd up the whole time. Notice the second half of the fights, you could hear them talking to each other the whole time, I REALLY enjoyed that. It was not an announcer trying to explain things, just some fight professionals talking about the fight as it was happening.

That part was a good change, there were still way too many commercials.
