My brother told me about that earlier today. I've been so far out of the loop with F1 though and their stupid tyre rules. Pastor Maldonado wins a race? What is this? That hoax, A1GP? The championship where tyres = lottery and the team who happens to luck out on the tyres win?

Yeah, I never understood the tyre rule either, I like it better when they could use any tires, changed as often as they wanted

It's to manufacture competition. They want to force teams to use bad sets of tyres. There are races were using hard dry compounds sounds like crazy stuff, but they will be forced to run these to allow other teams to catch up and 'create' excitement. Now the tyres themselves are playing such a huge factor in this championship where the tyres seem to suit the lucky team on a given race. People can boast that we've had different race winners, but they all haven't been consistent. They were simply lucky with the tyres for the weekend.

It probably will be a long time before there is another woman in F1.Marussia test driver Maria De villota loses an eye after a testing accident on her first run when she somehow ran into the back of a truck.

I read about Maria losing her right eye and I feel sorry for her. Losing stereoscopy is a very serious problem in racing. I don't know what else she can do in motorsport with that impairment.

Figures the F1 board is silent as all hell when Alonso is up a full 20 pts through 8 races in a sub-standard Ferrari. Once he wins his 3rd title, and doing so in such an underdeveloped car, id hope both of you give him the kudos he deserves. What hes doing this year is nothing short of spectacular!!

Yawn. This again. You want to talk about this in the age of Pirelli Lottery?
