Hi. I'm an American teaching English in China. I am not involved in MMA in any way other than that I know a guy who owns a gym. As I understand it's a well-known gym in China, it's called Hei Dai (pronounced like Hey, Die! but of course it doesn't mean that). Anyway, he want to find an experienced MMA fighter to come to China and be a coach. He speaks very little English, so he's asked me to help him. The problem is, I don't really know anyone who does MMA, and I have no idea how I'd go about finding someone. I took a look around the forums here, and it seemed like this was the place to post. If I'm wrong I apologize.

My friend, whose English name is Greg, is very talented and very into MMA. However, it's got nowhere near the following that it does in the US. Greg wants to bring someone over from the US to become a coach/trainer. He's looking for someone who has knowledge and experience that surpasses what's available here in China. Though he'd prefer someone with teaching experience, he's more interested in fighting ability than coaching experience. He wants someone who is a brown belt or higher.

I'm helping Greg look for someone because his English isn't good enough to do it on his own. So how could he work with someone? Greg's willing to hire a translator and pay for Chinese language lessons, whatever is necessary. He's looking for someone who will make a one-year commitment, but it could become a longer commitment. Greg wants to build an MMA team. In addition to Chinese language lessons and the services of the translator, there is a comfortable salary, housing and paid airfare awaiting the right person.

So, if someone reads this and thinks, "You're looking for me!" then we need to talk. If there's a better way to go about searching for the right candidates, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks!
