Thread: Brock's Return

    Default Brock's Return

I would love to see them really play up his UFC run. Have him talk about how much better he is because he was a "real" champion, etc. Possibly even go ahead and sign King Mo and have them do a full scale MMA invasion NWO style. I would mark out for that like crazy.

I suspect they will mention his UFC run in some fashion such as Cena saying he came back to rasslin after failing in "other endeavors" and him saying he has been world champion in two different orgs. Or.....they ignore it completely not wanting to remind fans that WWE is fake and UFC is real. They might just hint that he has been doing other things. Hard to say.

Nobody knows who King Mo is, he isnt big enough and he really isnt a great talker or anything. He would look tiny next to everyone in the UFC.

I'll tell you who I think would be FANTASTIC in the WWE and thats Frank Mir. He can talk like a master rassler, he is damn big which Vince loves and just imagine the fun they could have between him and Brock. I think Frank would be tremendous in the WWE but he probably has 3 more years in the UFC most likely and by that time Lesner will be retired again. But just imagine what a great angle they could do if Mir came into the WWE saying Brock ran away from him and he is chasing him and going to break his leg. WWE fans wouldnt know who he is but that could still work, especially if Dana would play ball with vince and cut a deal like SEG did back in the day with footage of Shamrock and Severn.

How about a retired Tito Ortiz joining the WWE? That could be interesting if he was mentored by Punk--somebody who understands mma and how to incorporate it.

Is Vince going to play up the MMA angle? Will he put emphasis on their stand-up and submission skills? He did way back in the day when Shamrock and Severn were feuding. Never made any bones about their MMA pedigrees.

So will there possibly someday be a Brock vs. Batista match with MMA rules?

I kind of doubt it or he would have had bart take cena down and hammer fist him. I think he wsnts the old lesner back and ignores mma lesner for the most part. The really interesting scenario is if the. Ould lure austin back for one last match withesner. They are friends now and austin has said that would be the one he would consider. That would be huge $$$

I think the money from the NWO invasion gimmick has just about dried up. The gimmick has really run its course and deserves to lie low. I do wonder how they will address Lesnar if they plan on updating the character. If it's back to the old WWE Lesnar... then... meh.

What?!?! Old WWE Lesnar was awesome!

Details of his contract have emerged today. He signed for one year with the contract to conclude at next year's Mania for somewhere "around 5 million dollars". He's going to have a much more active schedule than originally thought as he's going to make about two appearances per month. No word yet on how many of those will be matches but he'll be around a lot more than the Rock was.

Interesting. When ESPN did their "highest paid athletes" issue in 2011 it said Brock made 5.3 million in a year. I wonder if he used this number to leverage negotiations with the WWE. Maybe saying he would go back to MMA if the number wasn't similar.

Nice makeup job they did on Cena last night. Looked like he just got done making out with a drag queen.
