He wasnt nearly as hard to do business with that Warrior was, but he was a loose cannon. His horrible leg break is what ended it for him.
When I was in the Air Force stationed in Columbus, Ms, a buddy of mine got me to go with him to this wrestling event held in a 4H barn at the fairgrounds! It was horrible until the end when Lord Humongus came out for the last match, he was ****ing huge. This would've been like 1988. I couldn't believe how big that bastard was and he wore a hockey mask. The crowd was in a frenzy, we were in the front row, I was ****faced by this point, life was good. After going back and forth in the ring for awhile, Lord flung the guy out of the ring but he got to much muscle into it and threw him about four rows into the crowd just to the right of us and the guy broke his arm. Match over!

I never forgot that and always wondered who the hell he was until I heard a few years back it was Sid. The dude I was with piped off to him when he was walking to the back and the Lord gave him a look (still had his mask on) that was epic evil.

There, that's my wrestling story, please don't repeat it to anybody as I could get in serious trouble.

Lord Humongous is a pretty common gimmick in the indies, or at least it used to be. There were probably 50 wrestling all over the states at some point in time. One of the many Mad Max-inspired gimmicks.

Id say no, because he was never at Flairs level much less the mega draws. But, he probably was one of the bigger regional draws as the Lord Humongous gimmick and other incarnations. So, he was definitely successful everywhere he went but never in the Rock/Austin/Hogan level.

Very true and most were just a mask on whoever the biggest guy they could find was. Sid was the most successful and who we all think of as the guy back in the day in Memphis and for Bill Watts.

I'm positve it was Sid just from the physique, and from what I read, that area in the late 80's was where he made his bones.
