Heart says Belcher. Mind says Paul Harris taking the ref's leg home in a botched stand-up attempt.

Belcher seems like the MW version of Kingsbu. Both guys are HUGE, but they aren't particularly impressive in any other aspect. The smart money is definitely on Pal Hairs adding to his leg collection.

And that makes sense because he is far to dangerous of an opponent for a higher ranked fighter to want to face; there is no upside for them. If they win, it doesnt help and if they lose they drop in the rankings and probably have to have knee surgery.

For Belcher its a risk worth taking but the second it hits the ground he needs to be tapping and yelling he submits before he suffers any damage.
Well technically a win for Palhares would put him on a 4 fight win streak and he'd most likely get his first top 10 fight since Big Nate stopped him.

The MW division is in a weird spot right now with not too many justifiable contenders...

    Ando fights Chael in July
    Munoz fights Weidman in July
    Vitor fights Wandy in June
    Bisping fights Boetsch in July
    Ace fights Cung in July
    Palhares fights Belcher next week

I see a few things that could potentially happen depending on who wins the Ando/Chael rematch. After Vitor destroys Wand I could see him getting the next shot if Chael wins. Otherwise I would imagine the winner of Weidman/Munoz would be next in line if Ando beats down Chael.

Weird, I never thought of Belcher as a big MW.

He's always come in solid but I've never thought of him as a huge MW either. I did read somewhere that he walks around at about 210-215 before camp which would probably be on the heavy end of the spectrum.

Ironically, he was on the MMA Hour yesterday and he mentioned walking around lighter these days than he used to. Not sure what that weight is though.

Paul has a great chin (remember his fight with Hendo). I don't see Belcher having anything other than a bad tat going into this fight. Palhares by sub, rd. 1.

Belcher better be careful as **** when he throws kicks (and he LOVES to throw kicks).
Harris is likey to catch a kick and never let go.
