RIP to Dunn, his bass playing is all over some classic songs.

I don't know if this belongs in this thread but based on some of the musical preferences around here I imagine a few people would find it interesting. A Freddie Mercury hologram is in the works for an upcoming Queen concert. I'm sure most people have seen the Tupac one that demonstrated how far the technology has come so this is sure to be awesome.

I saw Queen back in the day at their peak after The Game came out and it was a killer show. Total mastery of the stage and working the crowd. Brian May has always been one of my favorite guitarists and he has such a deft touch. His solo using the red guitars recorders was a masterclass in layering sounds. The guitar lick to Tie your Mother Down is one of my all time favorites.

Never seen these guys but they are on my list if they ever come south. Butch Walker and the Black Widows live doing Summer of 89. Its a funny live bit where they have some country guy singing the song and then Butch and the Band come on stage and take it away from them.......wearing KISS makeup. Nice.

Last night caught Adam Carroll who is a hell of a song writer. The Dylan of the Texas/Louisiana gulf coast is an apt description.

"Rice Birds" is one of his tales of love and life on the Texas coast with the Rice Bird as metaphor.

    "Girl with the dirty hair"

last week saw Mike Blakely, a Texas cowboy singer songwriter and prolific writer. The song Charlie Siringo is a true tale of the cowboy turned Pinkerton agent who caught Butch Cassidy but let him go.

Next week I'll catch another old favorite, Owen Temple. here he is doing the Gary Floater song "dirty south". Gary is a fictional character that Owen and Adam Carroll did thats pretty funny stuff.

I saw Paul Dianno a few weeks ago. Awesome, simply awesome! He played the whole first Iron Maiden album and half of the songs from Killers. The sound was very early Maidenesque and I got to hear all those songs Maiden doesn't play anymore like Killers, Strange World, Prowler etc.
