I thought this first installment was pretty awful. I have three bones to pick.
1. They played music in Spanish when talking about music in Bahia. It does not seem hard to pick a song in the right language. I might be overreacting because I speak portuguese, but seems like an unnecessary oversight.
2. Mir is running up a hill in the desert w/ Dan Hardy. They are talking about how hard the training is. Mir doesn't break a sweat. He is wearing non-athletic style sunglasses. It is clear that was not real training. Now maybe he did the real training later, but it was so obvious. I wonder if the producers were like, "Let's do a hill running sequence. That will make you look like you are training hard."
3. I can understand this one, but when they are going over what happened between Mir and Big Nog, they skip over the part where Nog knocked Mir down. I know they don't want to show Mir getting rocked by Nog, but as a Nog fan it bothered me. Also I think it would have been more powerful if they talked about how people say Mir gives up when he get hit, and that is proof he doesn't.
Just some food for thought.
Vai JDS. O cinturão vai ficar no Brasil. Mir cairá no chão, nocauteado.
