    It's gonna be a party.

It's not death that matters, but the path you take before you get there, in my opinion. I just hope my path is long, fun, and eventful, and I get to see the life of my kids for a long time. As the quote goes, "Death smiles at us all, all a man can do is smile back."

It would be pretty rad to be carted around like Bernie Lomax.

Well if you get rich and write it into your will that your heirs must do so then it can happen.

Cbear informs us all that we're going to die. Talk about your spoilers!!! Man, that is a bummer.

So, I'm curious what people who frequent this forum think is going to happen to them when they die? For all of our amazing technology, the one thing that still eludes humankind is what happens after we take our last breath, even though billions of people have gone before us.

Personally, because I don't practice religion, I'm in the "ya just rot in the ground" camp. It's simply the end.
Unfortunately, as much as it does violence to my sense of self, the simplest explanation is we just rot in the ground. There is no more to asking what will it be like when I'm dead any more than there is to asking what was it like before I was born.

It's funny, the one person that would agree the least with Penn's view point (although that quote is not original to Penn either, it is actually a Carl Sagan quote) is the one person that remembered the quote. Penn is to me an acceptable person to throw my ideological lot in with. Much preferable to the thieves and wimps of the socialist left.

P.S. One thing that I find that libertarians have in common is that the vast majority of them are highly educated, as contrasted with both liberals and conservatives, who are both pretty split between the uneducated redneck/hippy parts of the party and the educated segments of the population.

I think the reason for that is that libertarians first and foremost believe that individual people are responsible for themselves and that self-reliance is a good thing. Educating oneself and being a self starter are part of that way of life.

And I find it hilarious that you are incapable of reading comprehension. I am indeed libertarian, but I am not a Ayn Rand supporter (Although I do like Rand Paul). But of course, you only work in assumptions.

This post is probably longer than you are capable of reading if I understood your earlier tl,dr abbreviation. It is good to know that your attention span is so severely limited

Hmm, some pretty enlightening posts in this thread. I was half expecting to come home and find at least a few smart ass comments like:
"Death? That's watching the upcoming Jon Fitch vs. Aaron Simpson fight!"

Way to let me down, boys!

Every thing is too complex for us to turn into worm dirt. I've see way too many unexplained things to think we just perish forever.
