Isn't it about time some changes are made?

Guys, nobody is more frustrated than me. There is NOBODY we can go to. My old contact at aol who used to fix things is gone now that we are with SB Nation so thats a dead end. I've sent several messages to the "contact the administrator" and never gotten a response. I even started a thread in our moderators only forum hoping someone would see it but with no response. I seriously have no idea on how or who to contact to get improvements made.

These autobots are my main complaint as Shammy and I are killing several per day and that could easily be stopped. There are other glitches such as I can no longer insert photos in threads but I can insert videos.

I guess I could try sending a message to one of the writers and see if they could pass it on to tech help..... Ive been trying but cant get any response.

You might try to contact the administrators via the other SBnation communities to get them and look into this, no?

I agree with Sloanie. We're lucky to still be kickin' here. Most of us were ready to make the jump to the alternate universe of the "refugee camp" several months ago.

We got all these upgrades to this site instead, not to mention stability that we were sorely lacking. I can put up with some annoying bots. Sometimes I like to write nasty things under their posts anyway.

Kind of a side note.. are the mods responsible for putting the "most popular" and "Featured" threads on the MMAF homepage? I always wondered because sometimes the "most popular" ones listed have maybe 1 page worth of posts and I wonder who/how the hell they got listed there.

Nope, we have no say. But you bring up an interesting point in that someone on the main page is looking at the forums to post links to the "most popular" threads. I wish they would contact me or Shammy so we have a person to contact for problems and suggestions.

There is a flip side to nobody paying attention and thats that we are left alone without alot of supervision. Personally I dont like to be micromanaged and as it is currently, the board is pretty much what you people want it to be and what Shammy and I allow. I think its pretty wide open when it comes to intelligent debate but we also keep a lid on the porn and more offensive stuff. I guess I try to moderate the way Ray wanted it done back in the day or close to it. And I dont think we need too much attention, just someone to take care of technical glitches and the goddamn autobot issue by putting a minimum post count on all forums.

Agree with Cbear on all accounts. I wouldn't have any idea who to contact, but I'm cool with simply deleting the nonsense as it appears. Unfortunately I'm in the middle of building a new house and my wife is due to give birth any day, so I don't have a lot of extra attention for the boards at the moment. I do however receive the email notifications when you guys report the spambots, and it's easy enough to get rid of them with my phone while I'm at work. My advice would be to ignore them as much as possible (or have fun with them until Cbear and I can get rid of them) and we'll be on top of things soon enough.

If this forum does get shut down, what is the next best option? Is anyone else part of another forum?

I am an admin on another forum that is completely unrelated to MMA and we use vB. To fix the bots it isn't that hard, but you would need access to the admin control panel.

Bored at 3am with nothing to do while you hold the kid who won't sleep and the wife needs that precious two hour nap before she has to wake up to feed the screaming meemie again. Good news. My old contact for help is alive and well--emails had changed after the buyout was completed and that info didnt get passed down the chain to me. They will look into the spam autobot issue.

If you have any other legit technical issues let me know and I will pass it on.

Ive got one, in that the photo insert function has stopped working for me.
