Spain - v- Italy in the final. Italy dumped out the Germans with two superb goals from Super Mario.

AAAAAAAAND THE WINNERS THE REIGNING, DEFENDING UNDISPUTED CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE - SPAIN!. Absolutely hammered Italy 4-0. To be fair Italy had some good chances but you know it's not your day when you go down to 10 men through injury after using all your subs. This Spanish side have to go down as one of, if not, the very best team the world has ever seen.

    Great tournament.

I don't think the tournament was great. It was OK, a little better than the boring World Cup in South Africa where the arenas were half empty and you had to mute your TV to escape those ****ing trumpets, but not great. Too many teams under performed and too few were positive surprises.
