    Default Where are the fighters?

Everybody is injured these days. Minotauro was half dead when he fought Mir the first time. Minotauro once said: "If I can walk, I can fight!", fighter of today says: "If my nail gets broken, I am out".

I am starting to think that Minotauro is the only true martial artist.

So you are against fighters bleeding like stuck pigs but they should fight injured? Seems logical

A loss can really set a fighters place in the division back a year or two. It's just not a smart career move to fight injured especially if it's going to seriously impact your chance at winning.

2 things. The insurance plan allows fighters to heal up on the UFC's dime instead of fighting hurt just to make a paycheck to cover that torn ACL. And unless your name is Dan Hardy, the UFC will cut your ass with 2 losses and sometimes even one loss so taking a fight at anything less than 90% physical condition is risky and putting your job on the line.

And I'll add a 3rd that applies only to the rich fighters. When you are GSP making huge money off the UFC and sponsors, you dont need the money anymore so he isnt going to fight unless his skin is clear (sponsored by Pro-Activ), his chi is centered (sponsored by Green Tea herbal supplements) and his muscles arent too sore from dancing at the local metro disco (sponsored by Ben Gay). There simply isn't any pressure on him to fight other than Dana screaming into the phone and since he is petrified of a loss hurting his aura and sponsor money he isnt going to risk fighting at less than 98.356% healthy and then will throw his heart and soul into getting that safe decision fight with no risks.

    And there you have it.

Recent interview Dana and Ariel--Ariel asks if fighters are not willing to fight with the tiniest injury and Dana said nah. Dana thinks its them going too hard in training and getting hurt.

Where's that "tall people are pussies" guy? I'm sure he's got something fascinating to say on this topic.
