Default UFC on FX 3 Dana post fight Press Scrum - Talks Brock, EA, Florida etc.

Here's Dana with the usual post-fight press scrum following last night's event broken up into 2 parts. I will go ahead and provide the cliff notes below like Best80s did so kindly for us last week. Especially because this was the only upload I could find of it so far and some genius decided to overlay a rock soundtrack over the interviews making half of the conversation unintelligible.

    Some highlights:

    -Already mentioned in other threads: Shogun/Glover situation, announces Jds/Cain, Penn/Rory, Gsp/Condit, Kampmann/Hendricks

-Says rumors that Brock was playing up a WWE storyline "not true". Probably the worst meeting he's had with brock and they haven't spoken since. Will he ever return Dana says "I don't know" and won't elaborate on their conversation publicly.

-Says he's happy with EA video game deal. Asked about the history of their relationship, says EA originally weren't into it, then tried to compete with us and we beat em. So (from EA's perspective) it was if you can't beat 'em join 'em. Regarding how they got out of the THQ deal (which has had some controversy about why they sold the UFC rights) he won't comment but says the Undisputed games were a success.

-Johnson would like some time off having just got married but Dana wants to get Flyweight title fight scheduled as soon as possible.

-Hector Lombard could probably get the next title shot after the Boetch fight with a good performance.

-Talks about the lackluster Florida market with respect to live ticket sales being "consistently bad". There was a lot of focus on the Florida market during this as well as the press conference itself. Dana said the live gate was one of the worst in UFC history and while he won't rule out ever coming back it won't be for a long time. Between his comments on the terrible ticket sales, reffing, and judging it sounds like the end of the UFC live events in Florida.

-Would like to see Silva move up to fight Jones after the Chael fight but Silva has been content to stay at MW.

-Fox is working on a new sports channel to debut next year and it will include some UFC content. No specifics though.

Damn, would I love to see that happen. If it doesn't take place soon, Andy will be too old. COME ON, DO IT!!!!

UFC 148 has so many directions it could take the MW division who the heck knows what will happen. If Andy wins will we see him retire? If no, then how much longer does he have left, and will he go out with a bang against Jones or take the likely matchup of Lombard that Dana is promoting at the presser? He's getting up there in age and now is the time for anything substantial to happen in terms of a superfight. More than Jones I would love to see GSP make the move up to take that fight, but with his next 2 fights already lined up with a questionable return date I don't see it happening. And there's always the possibility of a Chael beatdown, which would undoubtedly result in an immediate rematch.

I love how Dana publicly talks about Shogun, calls him and his management team out, but is mum on Brock.

There is something very wierd going on here with the Bart situation. Dana is staying mum probably because he hopes to re-sign Bart and knows how touchy he is about everything. Dana already has Shogun under contract and owns his soul so he can say anything he wants.

I'd really like to know what the Bart deal was and how it went so badly; I bet its a hell of a story.
