3 had better control, weapons, more moves (Rush, sliding), a better story (Proto Man!) and all the robot bosses from 2 thrown in as a bonus. How is that worse? The only way 2 is better is the music, which may also be in 3 (I can't remember).

Shadow of the Colossus would be lucky to be in the top 100 at all, yet it's number 9?

I am more appalled that Ultimata Online reached number 58!

If we're basing games on technical execution, then you could argue that Megaman 4 had more than 3... and 5 had better controls than 4. Heck, Megaman X(whatever the number is) would likely beat all of them.

Personally, the list seems to be a flimsy list swinging from well-executed games to influential ones. I still wonder what their actual criteria is because G4 is populated by a bunch of hacks who get paid to dump on games.

Loving seeing Goldeneye listed as high as it is. My all time favourite.

I like Bioshock, but I am shocked to see it on this list, let alone number 3!

First off, yeah, the list is poop. All I had to see was Bioshock at #3 to know that.

As far as the one truley difficult question in this thread regarding Mega Man II v Mega Man III, that's a toughie.

Both make my top 10 favorite games of all time list. 3 is better in the areas ash mentioned, such as control and rush. As far as more moves, I think the slide was incorporated nicely, but more moves don't always help. MMIV added the charge shot, which became a great tool in the X series, and MMVI added Beat, but neither really improved the games imo. The music in both are incredible, but II is more iconic, and better overall imo. I actually prefer the weapons in II. Metal Blade is so overpowered it's cheap, but it's actually an iconic nes weapon. Much like the Crissagrim in SOTN. In III, there are some just terrible weeapons like Top Spin. The 8 master robots in II are better characters imo as well. I'd also give II the edge in replay value as it's much easier to pop in and run through in about 20 minutes IMO and fun every time. III really shines in terms of keeping things tight, and adding just enough to make it fresh. The game is MUCh harder imo, so if I want a challenge, I play III. Even with 9 E Tanks, the game is really a challenge.

It's actually a wash imo, but as far as which game makes it on the list, i think it's II. It's the more revered game and the one that made the series a huge smash hit.

Mega Man X wins for going full on Street Figther with the Haduken!
