Default Rampage Jackson vs Glover Texeira @ UFC 153 in Rio

    http://sportv.globo.com/site/eventos...e-jackson.html

    Translated:
The UFC has officially confirmed with exclusivity to SPORTV.COM on Monday, the first fight of the UFC Rio 3, held in October in Rio de Janeiro: Brazilian Glover Teixeira, unbeaten in 16 fights, will face the controversial American Quinton " Rampage "Jackson in the category of true duel-medium-heavy weights. It was not decided yet if the confrontation is the co-main event of the night, but he is already considered a big draw for the tournament, since it may represent the last fight of Rampage Jackson UFC.

Glover Teixeira made his UFC debut with a win by submission against American Kyle Kingsbury at UFC 146. After resolving bureaucratic problems with his visa for the USA, Glover will return to Brazil, where he built his career.

Already Rampage Jackson is coming off two defeats - against Jon Jones at UFC 135, against Ryan Bader at UFC 144. The 34-year-old veteran has said he intends to do just one more fight in the UFC and leave the organization. Idol in Japan, when she starred spectacular duels by Pride, Jackson never fought in Brazil, where he has a legion of fans for aggressive style of acting both as to cause his opponents.

Good step up in competition for Glover. You just know Dana is hoping Glover demolishes Rampage so he has another big name at LHW he can throw at Jon Jones.

You know, there is a whole lot about this fight that I like.

    - Glover Texeira looked like a beast in his first fight, and he will be very aggressive vs Rampage.
    - I expect Rampage to lose this fight, and as I currently think Rampage is a whiney douche, sending him out on a loss is awesome.
    - It gives Glover Texeira a big name which will change him from 'that random Brazilian guy' into 'that guy who kicked Rampage's ass'
    - It gives Rampage exactly what he asked for (ie, not a wrestler who will take him down / hold him down)
    - It may actually work in Rampage's favor.

The only drawback to this fight is that Glover Texeira is not a well known fighter. This fight should change that.

I really wonder how this went down to get him on board with this. Part of me thinks Rampage just wants to be done with his contract and simply took the first fight offered to him.

I doubt Glover-Rampage is headlining, so is this going to be Aldo-Koch or JDS-Cain 2???
