    Default Alan Belcher vs Vitor Belfort at UFC 153 in Brazil possibly

    mmaconvert

    Alan Belcher has posted four convincing victories in a row inside the Octagon. Now, “The Talent” wants his piece of the UFC’s middleweight pie.

    On Twitter Monday, Belcher made a reference to his next fight. It would appear that he is headed for October’s UFC 153 card, which goes down from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

    @alanbelcherufc

    My next fight will be the biggest of my career! I may be taking a trip down south, very south. #UFC #belcher4champ

    Maybe the UFC is planning on pairing Belcher up with Vitor Belfort, as Belfort’s hand injury should be healed in time for him to fight on the fall card. The two would provide another worthy challenger to the No. 1 contender spot in the stacked division.

    What is the over/under of Goldy telling us that Belcher has the legs of an NFL running back? That said I like the fight and it is a nice step up in competition for Belcher

    Well we all know Vitor is going to end up with a screwed up finger nail or a bad haircut forcing him out of the fight leading to Belcher having to fight the middleweight TUF winner in Brazil

    Mutante would probably kill Belcher too.

    Just an hour ago Belfort tweeted that he asked Joe Silva to let him fight Weidman in Brazil, so Belfort/Belcher is definitely not signed yet.
    Guys I spoke to joe silva and ask to fight with the top contender #weidman here in brasil so I think this is the fight that will credence me to a title fight so that is what happened.
    I want the belt but I am not desperate I think weidman is the next for the belt,but Anderson silva deserve to see who is next .So let`s make this fight the next #contender belfort vs weidman the next contender for #andersonsilva
    Interestingly enough, Weidman responded to Belfort's request.

    The thing is hes right, had Vitor not been taken out so fast, you could say okay do that fight but i dont think you should go from having to fight Wandy to getting a number 1 contender spot

    I think Vitor-Belcher makes a lot of sense at this point. Hopefully this turns out to be a good card and doesnt end up like 147. Aldo-Korean Zombie would be a much better headliner though compared to Aldo-Koch but what can ya do
