Im assuming it was made back when they were slated to fight but the way those 2 still go at it through the media, it still works lol

Why is Vera so hated? Hey, I dont like the guy either and its hard to put my finger on exactly why. Yeah, he can be boring but then again so is half the UFC's roster and yet nobody likes Vera. I remember his early fights were decent fun and he seemed likeable. What happened to make that do a 180?

I don't think Vera should be fighting on the main card, let alone in the main event. His last win was against Elliot Marshall who's no longer employed by the UFC. Before that it was Krysztof in 2009. How is that deserving of a main event on Fox? I would've preferred to see the Shogun-Machida trilogy fight as the big selling point of the card. Then have the co-main event be Phil Davis and Ryan Bader, and Vera fight Prado on the prelims. Shogun-Vera is a squash match IMO.

This fight is ridiculous, and I'm amazed some of you actually picked Vera to win. It makes ZERO sense for Vera to be fighting in a main event against a far superior fighter when he was all but done in the UFC not long ago - I don't get it.
It's like this is Joe Silva's way of saying "Thanks for the Hendo fight, here's an easy one!" I'll be shocked if Vera makes it out of the first round...

Obviously Vera is a name. This is not a sure victory for gassing Shogun.
