I actually think celebrities are masters at this cheating stuff.

P1) All humans with constant access to 10/10s will eventually cheat.
P2) Celebrities have constant access to 10/10s.
    P3) Celebrities are human.

    Therefore...all celebrities cheat.

    P1) All celebrities cheat.
P2) There are thousands of celebrities.
P3) Only a handful of celebrities get caught.

Therefore...most celebrities manage to avoid getting caught.

P1) It is difficult to hide from the paparazzi.
P2) There is money for evidence that a celebrity has cheated.
    p3) All Celebrities cheat.
p4) Most celebrities avoid getting caught.

Therefore...most celebrities are extremely skilled at cheating.

The Catholic Church is not a cult and you are free to come and go, they just would like to have a donation on Sunday. Kate had to engineer a Cult escape that was not unlike a russian defection under cover of night. Scientologists are wackos. My fav thing about them is that L Ron was a writer of western pulp fiction before he started writing sci fi pulp fiction that this crap is based on. Had L Ron been as successful as Louis L'Amour, Scientology likely never would have happened.

Funny hats, funny clothing, ancient blood rituals, child trafficking rings, a hierarchy sworn to secrecy, etc...

Any crime or bad stuff should be exposed and purged openly--thats where they ****ed up trying to keep a lid on it. One thing to ponder....assuming good and evil do exist, it would stand to reason that evil would try to destroy from within. There is no religion that is immune from perversion by mans willingness to sin and embrace corruption. When that happens, good men must stand up in opposition. You can use the same analogy for governments and rulers.

The Catholic church is just the world's biggest cult. People used to get executed for leaving it. Cult. Like any other religion.

Famous people cheat as much as anyone else I am sure. You just don't hear about people you don't care about. Come on.

There are accepted ancient religions that are the cornerstones of the worlds faith: Judaism, Islam and Christianity (the Abrahamic religions of monotheistic faith), Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, Shinto and the myriad of other beliefs that are typically polytheistic such as African and American Indian beliefs. That is contrasted by bastardizations of accepted historical beliefs/faiths that are usually spearheaded by singular misguided people and the end result is often death--Jim Jones, David Koresh, Heavens Gate, etc....

You call the Catholic Church a cult when it exhibits none of the criteria of a cult. Its the cornerstone of Christianity which is one of the 3 major world religions. You may not like it and you are certainly free to disbelieve but to consider Catholicism a cult is either shortsightedness, ignorance or vendetta due to unknown cause. Catholicism is based on the Latin Vulgate Bible and the lineage of St Peter as the keeper of the keys which is a direct line to Jesus. If you dont believe that, fine. But, to compare that to a nutty western/sci fi writer who made up a story that became a faith structure of loopy goofs is bad scientific method. If Scientology survives 200 years, much less 1000 then lets talk.

And lets get down to brass tacks. Faith or none. Thats the real question. You either have belief structures in a diety or higher power and faith in it or you don't. Even Aleister Crowley understood that when he chose to embrace the philosophy of "do what thou wilt is the whole of the law" which was the opposite of Christian teaching.

ALL religions and all Gods, including carpenter boy, were invented by man. Period. Humans can't handle the nothingness of death, and had to conquer it. Here is a good Hulu documentary that talks about that fear, and the religions that came from it. The first hour is one of the best ever. http://www.hulu.com/watch/173530
